Said many times but the reaction to him getting sent off against Burnley was the most hostile I have ever seen a CCFC crowd towards one of our own players.
I remember Stern John making a foul and our own crowd chanting "off, off, off."
Worst thing is John was actually a good player but a good moment of realisation that i'm cool with having a different opinion to the majority of our fanbase.

Yet they loved the far worse Andy Morrell just because he ran around a lot (usually chasing down a ball he'd lost ;))

Oh yeah, remember that. Hostile is the word.

Stop re-writing history, our form from November through to the end of February was P20, W10 , D6 , L4 = 1.9ppg which is solidly play off form if not borderline automatic procurement.

Edit, adding in March it was P24, W13, D10, L5 = 2.01 ppg which is automatic promotion form. That's half a season's worth of games not just 3 months, 5 months.

Had we spent £45m by that point?

Kitching: £4m
Thomas £2m
MvE £3.5m
Sakamoto £1.5m
Wright £7.7m
Simms £3.5m

£24m ish
If we'd have started this season in that form we'd be a point off the top 2 currently

I always thought we didn't use Morrell to his strengths. We insisted on playing him down the right wing which to be honest was a waste, he hadn't got outstanding pace or really a trick to get the ball into the box, but the few times we played him up front he was extremely effective as a striker

it's done by a fella who gives off massive incel vibes, always going on about cucks and shit like that

Always going on about cucks? It’s a frequent semi-serious insult thrown around on here and has been by many other members. Same with calling someone a Wasps Apologist etc. Incel? I think you’ve been spending too much time on Reddit.

My main point was that King scoffed and acted like a snob to genuine concerns from fans and you turned it onto a chip on your shoulder about Earlsdon - which is laughable. Get some overtime in and get off the forums if you’re not happy with your lot, it’s not rocket science.

Anyone wanting to lap up the whole assistant manager comments from King (we had brilliant candidates/none came across my desk/everyone wants to be a headcoach)….. or King throwing Robins under the bus making a serious of damaging insinuations (lacking tactical nouse) knowing Robins will have to sign an NDA as part of setttlement, so Robins has no right of reply…. is as gullible as can be. A gullible person will believe every word Doug King says, a sensible person will try to establish the facts.

Considering the 7.5 years Robins gave to us, the 1 hour save face from Doug King with woeful questions from BBC CWR (especially Rob Gurney), didn’t even go halfway to giving the answers we as fans deserve.

A scoffing brat in Doug saying the ‘best deck’ over and over again, didn’t go halfway to answers. Even that in itself was presented by Doug as complete fact when it’s his opinion and probably not many other’s.

FWIW I don’t think you’re a cuck, you’ve got no prospect of any desirable (female) companionship.

I remember being in west terrace for this game (think also vs Burnley) and never felt so embarrassed of our fanbase. Truly a self destructive lot at times aren’t we

Yep, which is why i worry slightly for a new manager if many hold on to their preconceived ideas. History tells me they do and its less than helpful.

The post you quoted I said that either side of the winter period was bad so you're just pretty much agreeing with what I said.

A year ago today, we were 20th in the table.

After 17th Feb we W4, L8, D1

Unfortunately, it continued into this season.

I can’t remember the order of the games, but he also got sent off at Blackpool. It really looked like he tried to get himself sent off.

But why such a specific date ? After that specific date we won 4 from the next 7 but ofcourse then you're left with losing 5 from the last 6 which coincided with the cup run and the small squad and that doesn't suit 🤔

Because before that date we'd lost one game since the first week of December. After that date we lost the next two league games.

After the 17th Feb we lost 3-0 at home to Preston and 2-1 away at West Brom. Two very poor performances.

And ? We won 4 from the following 5 including a win against Leeds , a 5-0 against Rotherham and a win away at Watford

Edit: sorry, I re-read it again. I thought you were talking about after the Stoke game.
Yes but then we won 4 from 5 so the bad form had hardly started at Feb 17th had it
