Unfortunately there might be a period where the support isn't as supportive as some would like .. I've not seen the fans this angry before
All depends how it goes as silly as that sounds.

If we finish in the play offs, fans will be going on about how the risk pulled off or at worse say that mark would have also got us there.

If however it does badly to start, could be like Mike Beales run at Sunderland

I'm on about style of play.

Robins had us efficient and eradicated the pussy loser mentality we had. I'm just saying league 1 is the last time I remember us having a real brand of football

Gyok and hamer magic moments helped propel us to playoff final. That's not a slight on robins

None of this is putting robins down. I'm just saying I don't remember seeing us carve teams apart with fluid passing and movement much

We played a good brand of football under Robins... the season we made the playoffs we were organised and pressed in spells and we countered superbly .

Infact this season so far is the only season I can think where Robins maybe tried to sway away from this style

Funnily enough, last time I saw us do that was against Lampard successor in pre season

Ya I agree organised and pressed on spells

I'm not using we were tied

But I am looking forward to someone being happy to be risky to take the game to opponent more.

And I'm well aware that might end in disaster and not work as well as the way robins did things

But after this poor start to season I'm just excited with the prospect of an attacking tactic working in a best case scenario that's all

Ya but I don't get the sense on real life people are looking to protest or boycott over it.

It's sad but people will move on mostly.

By " spells " I mean it was a purposely done tactic that was lauded by pundits many times .

We used to press hard for periods and then sit in and recover for small periods .

We have been a really good watch under Robins

Well fuck knows what you thought about the 20 odd years before him then
They were shocking. And I've already said I've loved the robins era so don't really know what else to say

I'm not gonna dream about going backwards am I..only dreaming about scenarios that would make me even happier

Have you seen us dominated or cut open much outside of ex PL teams with outrageous squads? We aren’t a cheat code team in this division but we win more than we lose and give anyone a game. I think you’ve been watching too much Sky TBH.
Havnt said any different to this.

Honestly think if it’s Lampard with this coaching staff he gets sacked before the season is over while we’re in the bottom three.

I dont know , we will probably finish 13th and fans will say

" SeE ToLD YoU HeS BeTTer ThaN RoBiNs"

Uninspiring.

Took Derby from 6th in the league to finish 6th. That's despite Ashley Cole and a prime Tom Lawrence plus some Chelsea loans of Tomori and Mount and Harry Wilson from Liverpool. Also failed to improve Everton and took Chelsea to their worst PL position.

Good players don't automatically make good managers. Nothing against Lampard personally, but he's done nothing to prove he's worthy and is basically in last chance saloon on his next job. We can't afford to get this wrong.

There was people calling for Robins to be sacked less that 10 games in to the season with all the credit he had in the bank. The idea some people have that the new manager will get a free hit this season to prepare for a promotion push next season is laughable.

He lost to a Villa side that was even stronger in the Play Offs tbh

Would be our first bottom half finish since our first season up. The bar is top ten bare minimum for me. To justify the sacking really whoever it is needs to make the playoffs.

Definitely- especially bearing in mind how people have been banging on about how this is a talented side that should be in the playoffs & and how the table is now, finishing in the playoffs is pretty much the only way King can say removing Robins was the right thing to do.

The kicker being MR had a track record of bringing teams back into contention from slow starts.

King has literally put his plums on the block this time. Fairfucks if it works but fuckme it feels like a long shot.

Not sure about this, I popped into my local shop on the way from work and for the first time I can ever remember there was people stood in the shop discussing Coventry City. To say they were angry and pissed off would be a huge understatement.

They were angry & pissed off at standing up?

No. If it is him it will have parallels with Blues sacking Eustace and bringing in Rooney. It's his name Doug is interested in, his profile.

I'm sure this has been done for 'reach' and/or investment.

Would be a poor choice for me.

Why the fuck we would sack Robins with the record and achievements he has had to then go and hire a manager that has nothing to his name.

Honestly we will not sign Lampard there is not a fucking chance that silver headed arsehole Doug would sack someone every one of us fans reacted negatively too because we see Robins as the fucking father of our club to go and give it to someone that looks like he's about to cry when he looses a few on the bounce.

If King appoints this guy this 5 year plan is finished, these attendances will dissappear and you can wave goodbye to your record season ticket sales.

Not too mention, Haji Wright, Sheaf and Milan will all leave.

There is not a chance those 3 players that could mix it up in the Premier League would stick around for that downgrade.

I think you'll be surprised how deep this will go. I don't think Doug's relationship with the fans will ever recover from this.

What real life is that?
I'm in City WhatsApp groups, work at a place with a lot of Skyblues and play 5 a side with predominantly Sky Blues supporters.
And I can tell you now, there is an incredible amount of anger equal to that on here and on social media.

I'm not sure where this real world is away from the bubble I must be living in

It certainly might not.

I can honestly see us going backwards now, as we go from manager, to manager, to manager.

We had stability and Robins had never let us down when he was here.

Now it seems to be all about Doug King.
