Think at this point it’s more a case of getting his coaches signed up.

Assume either Jodi Morris or Paul Clement will come in as an assistant with Ashley Cole coming in as defence coach.

Not sure how that leaves the four we have. Would assume The U21 coaches would go back to the U21 and U19.

They'd definitely been an upgrade on what we currently have.

Wrong

You can’t criticise him at all on here without getting jumped on by the same 2-3 posters who will defend him to the end of the earth.

Most people aren’t trying to rewrite history, just pointing out that the sacking wasn’t entirely down to some bad luck/form to start the season.
As soon as King did the supporters thing and pretty much slated Robins, so many on here took everything he said as gospel.

Immediately after that, the unpicking of Robins' achievements started.

It was we have been shit for 6 months. Then it was 9 months, even 12 months, then it was all down to Adi, not Robins etc.

People aren't trying to rewrite history, but they are also not taking into account all the circumstances. I.e. That we were running on empty at the end of the season and the poor form was very much linked to that.

I am not saying King lied, but I would also say I can't believe everything he said was the truth. Two sides and all that.

Anyway, people seem to have forgotten just how fatigued the players were and even though there was very little to play for, have focused on how crap we were at the end of the season. There is a clear correlation between the two.

I am most certainly not defending him to the end of the earth, but at times it's been a bit like a character assassination since King spoke.

Surely the relevant period for the new coaching setup is from when the team was put together in July? If you do that 10 games into the season, you are judging them pretty quickly after a string of tight games without much luck, and against the backdrop of missed transfer targets and gaps in the squad.
New coaches were being torn a new one when people thought they kings idea

Now it's come out it was robins people are saying they needed more time before being judged lol

It's also been...

"We were great against Middlesbrough"

But we only played against 10 men.

"We were great against Luton"

Yeah, but Luton were crap.

"We were great against Spurs"

Yeah, but it wasn't their first team

"We were great against Oxford"

We luckily won because of a bad back pass.

Even when we have played well, which I admit has not been that many times so far this season, some are now trying to diminish the achievements in those games.

I never thought for a moment they were foisted on anyone by King, so perhaps you are thinking of someone else?

Hope the new guy and his coaches aren't being told to go after 10 games, because any fair person knows they might need much longer than that to get things working the way they want.

Been on the forum for over a decade, ESB was already taken. Great one liner.

COVKIDSNEVERQUIT - well Maddison, Gary McSheffrey and Callum Wilson quit so that means it’s because you’re a Leicester City fan.

Oh well at least there's no insults this time.

Being on a forum for more than a decade doesn't determine which team you support. 🤔

Lampard usually brings a fitness coach with him too. What about Joe Edwards? They won’t come cheap

I would imagine they'll be some compromise. He can bring in his most trusted lieutenants like Morris and Cole, but he has to work with some of ours, Carr for example.

Wonder if there’s any chance this has fallen through. Not saying it has but wonder what plan B would be

Dear Mark

Hi, it's Doug! Can I just point out that I wanted to keep you, it was Dr Claire who said you had to go. She punched me on the arm (the top bit where it's really sensitive) about three times. I couldn't take the pain, so I agreed to HER DECISION...

Otis is correct on this. I understand why some wanted Robins to go, I've been openly critical of him for some time as well, and defended the right to have that opinion even if I didn't want him moved on myself.

Since he's gone there has been attempt to whitewash some of his achievements by some though. It might be due to the outrage of the sacking and trying to combat it, or maybe it is a coping mechanism, but it certainly has gone on.

I'm still gutted to be honest. I thought he was struggling a lot recently but I wanted him to turn it around very badly. I'm quite grumpy towards the names being thrown around, but I am hoping my enthusiasm will change.

I didn't say it was you specifically

And it should be robins, people not 'robins people '

But you knew that FFS

King doesn't know why a number two was never brought in..he conveniently skipped over that in his interview with talksport.
I don't trust King one little bit.
