It is only protests like this that seem to have an effect. It was peaceful, no one was hurt and people are more aware of our plight. It was a horrible atmosphere and you did get the feeling it wouldn't take a great deal for it all to kick off. After the first chap got on the pitch people seemed to be making their way from the naughty corner along the stands. Add in that they had scarves round their faces and hoods up to hide their identity I can understand it making some people a bit nervous.
Would probably be a good idea if instead of just dismissing it whoever is organising these things makes sure future action takes the comments into consideration. We need everyone to be united, don't give people, in particular Fisher, an excuse to have a pop at the protests.
Same bloke as was on the radio. Not heard from him for a while. There was a Pete Chambers who wrote a lot of nonsense in CET comments till someone revealed the street he lived in, but he must be stupid to use his real name and post opinionated polemic in a forum like that. (and no I'm not going to reveal where even though I remember, he may be a twat but I'm not into persecution).
Anyone who wanted to protest about Sisu should not go was a pretty controversial comment. All that would be left is Jonathan Strange, Pete Chambers and about 10 others.Look he is a bit extreme and provocotive but if you listen to what he actually said it wasn't massively controversial.
I'm not sure people realise how much of a win win the city job is, they can't fail.
I didn't say you
Most of his stick was being a sisu puppet, Mowbray wasn't a director and did the same and he got a lot less.
How many have been blamed?yet many have
How many have been blamed?
Yes that the Twat that is why they ribboned his street. There really are some people who are totally up themselves,
Pete Chambers for example wasn't he the man who was bleating & had appeplexy about sky blue ribbons being put up in cheylesmore, methinks .... get a fucking life matey,
Tonight, i was busy so missed the 'phone in', was Chairman Fisher involved to inquire about his utter dislike of CCFC fans ? Only my opinion of course, PUSB
So Pete Chambers....who you agree with.....is allowed to air his opinion. And you then say that the texter.....who you don't agree with......shouldn't be allowed to air his opinion? No he made several points - his opinion
As I say the texter afterwards blaming season ticket holders for being the real problem was far more offensive - were they not?
It wasn't as universally friendly as everyone likes to make out, I watched two paramedics being stopped from getting down to someone who injured themselves and the supporters stopping them weren't acting in a 'friendly' manner.
Old people and Kids scared? Well this old person wasn't and nor were the kids in front of me. That's the most peaceful protest I've seen when people are worked up by our rubbished owners, he should have seen some of the strike protests in the 70's.
Says there is managers out there and players, who won't want to come to the club now, we had 70 applications for the job apparently ...
Yea let's go back to holding up a4 pieces of paper that no one can read, that will get national attention.
Ffs what were people scared of? The protests were peaceful throughout.
The only thing I could think people might have been worried about is that the Sheffield utd fans were going to kick off in or outside the stadium and start some trouble but that's not the fault of the city fans.
Says there is managers out there and players, who won't want to come to the club now, we had 70 applications for the job apparently ...
Fisher has made himself look very silly hasn't he.A fine example of how this works. A week ago we were being told that no one would apply for such a toxic job. Now we are using published figures to prove Fisher is a liar.
So Pete Chambers....who you agree with.....is allowed to air his opinion. And you then say that the texter.....who you don't agree with......shouldn't be allowed to air his opinion?
Both can be seen as controversial. Both have the right to be heard. But one of them is backing who we all know is a c#nt. And you say it is OK for him but not the other :shifty:
And the cherry on the top is that they are both asking for the same thing. Supporters to stop going to games :woot: NOPM is back and alive. Not One Prick More :wideyed:
You disagreed with one point. My post said I disagreed with him - I do wonder if you actually can read sometimes.
You disagreed with one point.
I spoke to somebody a while back who worked with this guy and it wasn't complimentary to say the least.
Is this the same Pete that I witnessed calling the fans on the hill muppets in the BBC cwr live question and answer session a few years back ? If so, I'll never forget his face when three or four members of the audience had him about his comments when we went off air ! Wasn't the big man then !
If you stand up in a public place and gloat, ridicule or provoke a group of people then you should expect a reaction. This fella is now on local radio doing the same, he has a right to an opinion but sounds like he doesn't need anyone sticking up for him or his opinion.
He is very much in the minority in some of his views and sounds like nothing will deter him from defending the club's position. So let him has his minute of fame with his name splattered everywhere but it still doesn't change what most of us know about the state we are in.
He is a disgrace
Who is sticking up for him?
Saying it's hardly fair 3 or 4 people approaching him or people going to where he lives to put ribbons up which could be seen as a bit of a "we know where you live" and posting his address on websites.
It would be the same if somebody shouted SISU out and people went to their street or 4 people went over to them.
If people think it's justified because he said something about people singing SISU out then what do they think should happen to the other people who say things much worse?
You plead his case very well Nick.
Be fair though, Nick.Ah yes, because I think 3 or 4 people to 1 and going to where he lives and posting up his address is a bit unfair?
Also the bit where I said it would be the same if it was "the other way round"?
Crack on then, maybe if anybody abuses anybody and says things about going to games they should have their personal details posted and something put up by their house to show them where they live? They can then have 3 or 4 people approach them?
Bob Latchford sits on here hammering people for going to games etc, but I wouldn't want people turning up at his house about it or 3 or 4 blokes approaching him. That would be unfair (Bob is an example).
Just for clarification, the guy who rang up yesterday was called Pete Chambers but not the Pete Chambers that runs the museum and he was the person who used to ring up regularly when we were playing in Northampton, in fact he glorified in it.
Yeah its been confirmed it's not him, just the same name!
Just wanted to get the message across as I wouldn't want Pete who runs the museum to get any unwarranted stick. He does a great service to the City of Coventry running a music museum.
