not really i just see this as being a pointless topic, it's not worth discussing

When I don't think something is worth discussing I don't discuss it. I find it works better than discussing why it's not worth discussing, worth a try for you perhaps?

Wow what a stadium. The level of opposition was so low as to make this exercise pointless, what a waste of money traveling abroad when we are struggling.

Don't forget they agreed to this friendly only 24 hours prior! I don't remember anyone ever saying they were a top class opposition, and they could quite easily have said 'no' to the fixture at such short notice.

It's not necessary to be critical of them, no matter their squad, club stature, stadium etc.

They were a very well run club, and very fan friendly. Something which our club can only imagine of being in our current state.

I'm not criticising them, I'm criticising ccfc. There is more than 1 club of their quality within 15 minutes of the Ricoh and we could have allowed local teams to play some of the players they support as well as potentially bringing in some new fans and bringing in some good will that the club are sorely needing. Instead they waste 10's of thousands going abroad.

Sorry if I sounded on the defensive. I get what you mean. If I'm honest I'm surprised they could afford to bring, what is essentially, our whole squad, back room staff, kit man, TV (sky blue player) crew etc over to holland, paying out for flights, hotel (think they're hotel was approx £85 pp/pn), and still paying their wages, hiring a coach while over here, paying events planner etc etc. your right we could have played teams of their quality at home, but the original fixture was expected to be against tougher opposition.
