If it's in-game punditry, then put them on mute, watch the game, and put some music on. Not really, as a player you can't argue with his record both of finding the net and keeping out of the refs book, but as a person just can't stand the self righteous berk. Not so much his political agenda and the BBC fawning over him and changing the rules to suit, just him taking the piss as if he's some kind of people's champion. His first stint filling in presenting the Euros highlights was a sign when he said to Chris Waddle "I've never missed a pen Chris, what's it like?" really embarrassed the bloke who'd had enough stick from the public, never mind someone who should know better. Steve Ryder being muscled out of the golf to make room for the "keen amateur" was confirmation he was the corporation's golden boy.
