Fuck off Neville (1 Viewer)

Lineker is a very good natural presenter (obvs not liked by the DM/GBN crowd) but I prefer Mark Chapman. Lawrenson was a lunatic who just hated life and fun. Pat Nevin remains one of the best although only on radio 5L.

If Nevin was made of chocolate he'd eat himself.
Can't stand him

For anyone bothered by any of them whether good, bad, or indifferent, if you don't feel they add anything, then fast forward or turn off their analysis. If it's in-game punditry, then put them on mute, watch the game, and put some music on. I'm not a fan of many (quite like Lee Hendrie tbh) but none bother me that much, however there are alternatives to being rattled.
Yeah, same and Neville doesn't bother me. None of them do really. 🤷‍♂️

Well said. Some people are so miserable it's crazy

For me it's the fact he thinks he's a politician - ie the self-righteous rant he did before the opening match of the last World Cup...yet he was still over there - what a hypocrite
'Thinks he's a politician.'

Fuck off.

He has the right to an opinion and a right to voice it. It's pretty moderate opinions in the main, too.

What pisses you off is that it's opossed to yours.

My all time favourite commentator was the late, great John Motson. Unequalled in my opinion.

I miss John Motson.

It felt like every cup final during his commentary he would reference 1987 at least once. On record as saying it was the best final he'd commentated at

The mere mention of Gary Lineker absolutely rattling the gammons 😂😂😂

Not really.

Lineker and Neville are two of the biggest, most ruthless capitalists in the country.

I'm no socialist, but I respect people who have principles (even if they are opposed to my own opinions). What I don't respect is people who moralise about the evils of capitalists whilst owning a massive property empire

Not really, as a player you can't argue with his record both of finding the net and keeping out of the refs book, but as a person just can't stand the self righteous berk. Not so much his political agenda and the BBC fawning over him and changing the rules to suit, just him taking the piss as if he's some kind of people's champion. His first stint filling in presenting the Euros highlights was a sign when he said to Chris Waddle "I've never missed a pen Chris, what's it like?" really embarrassed the bloke who'd had enough stick from the public, never mind someone who should know better. Steve Ryder being muscled out of the golf to make room for the "keen amateur" was confirmation he was the corporation's golden boy.

That question alone was not something a nice, decent person would ask

Thing is, they don't moralise about the evils of capitalism at all, do they. What they tend to speak out against is the neo-liberal version of capitalism that we have now, that puts the interests of the mega-corporations and the super rich above those of the ordinary person.

Which is what Neville does with his property empire and grabbing money from a radically homophobic regime in Qatar.

Like I say, I respect everyone's right to an opinion.

I have no respect for hypocrites, left or right.

So we love anyone who has ever commentated on an iconic CCFC moment.

And hate anyone who has ever dared to say anything remotely criticising CCFC.

Glad thats been cleared up.
