Madine has apparently turned down loan moves to Tranmere, Notts County and Oldham while Swindon were unable to agree a deal with Shef Wed. Nothing about our interest to say its on/off but the loan of Chris O'Grady to Barnsley means Wed may now be less likely to let him leave.

I thought he looked raw when he was with us but showed what a useful player he could become - he was only 19 remember! Looks like he started to realise that potential with Sheff Wed last season. He'd be much more of an asset for us this time round than he was before.

I wouldnt mind getting him but appears he doesnt want to go on loan, and like was said above them letting another striker go on loan id be shocked if he was allowed to go.

Id also be shocked if we arent looking to bring in another striker. I know we only play one up top, but only having two to choose from is going to massively limit us for the run in. I wouldnt be surprised if Robins has something lined up after tonight - some free agent, or an emergency loan (which really makes a mockery of the 'transfer deadline day' headlines anyway).
