I agree, I also saw another one that said about somebody being caught with a gun and a machete but it looks in the video like the police had taken a cricket bat.

The situation is so dangerous that maybe arresting them there and then would amplify the violence even more.

For me, we’re in “full force of the law” territory now. Riots culminating in vigilante groups has a risk of spiralling to an even more devastating effect than we’ve seen so far.

It seems it was only last night and more so today, that there has been fighting back by what is deemed to be the other side.

Who was on the streets saying "enough is enough" and "we want our country back?"

Certainly wasn't the Muslim community, or Asians etc. was it. It was predominantly, white British. We know that. So all the violence and aggression and protesting outside mosques, were white British.

Willing to have a bet with anyone, that now the situation has changed, Starmer will very soon condemn all sides and say all sides will be brought to book.

Don’t know anywhere near enough about this, but if you’ve got a handful of officers with batons vs a lot more, some with confirmed weapons, many that you won’t be sure whether they’re carrying or not, calling for an amnesty probably isn’t as stupid as it first sounds.

all I know is that I keep seeing people say “they’ll all be in prison by next week”- but I don’t see how, you’re talking about hundreds, possibly thousands of people, loads wearing balaclavas, all to sift through and identify.

I’m as laid back as they come and a proper ‘hippy’, but I’d say much longer of this and a serious show of force is needed, to get these people off the streets and teach them that if that’s what they want to do then they’re gonna pay a heavy price. Then start sifting through the footage and hand out some very nasty sentences.

well we’ll see, but I don’t see how they will even identify all of them by next week, let alone get them all in court. You can’t just clear the courts to make room for this, there are other things going on too, and waiting lists to even get into court are huge.

What also dont help in the circumstances, is when the police or government went public in the news the other week about how the prisons are full and we're gonna let criminals out early.

The rioters/looters will think fuck it what they gonna do attitude as there thick as fuck.

waiting lists have no baring, it's arrest, no bail, court and then jail.
