Fucking scumbags. Get them all nicked for racially aggravated assault, criminal damage and if the prisons are "too full" then give them a kicking and make them do some hard graft community service.
The prisons aren't full, one of Starmer's first acts was to release 44,000 criminals.
Oh and cut the Fuel payment to pensioners.

This is what I don’t get- I for one have called out both sides, and I saw a few others doing so as well, so I don’t understand why you’re so desperate to make out that people on one side are in compete denial- GIMOC seems to be alright so fair enough, and this Charlie guy too initially, then he reversed that having gone through all the info coming out- but there were loads of posts last night saying that what happened last night was horrific, just like the weekend, “people”- at least from what I saw- were not pretending “nothing happened” and that it was “all Russian bots” which is what you said is the case.
Look at who I quoted.

Seen the worst of all sides now I think, both out in the streets and on here. The last 10 pages of this thread have been an utter embarrassment.

I started writing out a long message but, you know what, I can’t be arsed. It ain’t gonna change anything is it. I’ll just embroil myself in the arguments.

Edit: I’ll probably change my mind later and pile in. Just thought I best mention it in case I get accused of double standards.

No they're not, they're being attacked night after night. The two tier sh*t is just victim mentality bullshit*t hyped for clicks and views.

"I'm only smashing up shops, starting fires, breaking and entering, and throwing stuff at police, why are you being mean to me!?" Pathetic.
I'm starting to wonder if anything actually happened in Birmingham last night?

Its not saying people don't deserve justice and what happens for behaving like scumbags.

More disinformation. Starmer hasn't released 44000 prisoners. Under the Tories inmates were allowed to be released early due to the pressure on the prison system. I remember reading somewhere that just after the election there were only 700 male places available in the whole of the prison service. Prisoners serving terms for sexual, violent and terror offences won't be part of the scheme. Those who are released early will still be on licence and so will have to continue to see their probation officer for the remainder of their sentence.

I also remember that the prison service wanted this to happen sooner rather than later.

He is cutting fuel payments. No getting away from that.

That doesn’t kick in until September and it’s a continuation of a Tory policy only with a scale that the Tories should have done in the first place only the optics didn’t look good campaigning for reelection. Not all pensioners, it’s means tested.

And I'm sure the Police are on it. Another case of fanning the flames and spreading hate though, isn't it? Hinting "how can they all make money" will make some racists start attacking barbers or something stupid.
I think you really need to take a breather from this for 24 hours. You sound really really angry. It's not good for you. Ranting on here changes nothing. Rain is coming before then end of the week and it'll all be over.

Is anyone else scared to leave the house incase you stumble upon one of these gangs? Innocent people being attacked, terror on thr streets. What has the world come to?
Luckily I was born in the early 80's - so I've had a fairly smooth ride.
The Mrs due to go out in Birmingham tonight, not a chance.
No. But then I don't live in an inner city.

... for the problems that people blame on immigrants. Growing wage inequality, under funding of services, lack of affordable housing.
Old white people predominantly don’t earn a wage. Governments are to blame for underfunding services. I also don’t get the lack of affordable houses - if the population wasn't so large there would be plenty of housing.

The last population stats I saw showed that births exceeded deaths by only about 440 - meaning that the hundreds of thousands increase in population - and hence pressure on services and housing - was caused by immigration.

The argument that immigration is needed to staff care services could be a self fulfilling prophecy. As the population grows, the need for those services also grows. It’s not just staffing though, there needs to be infrastructure and Labour have just cancelled the 40 new hospitals the Tories were allegedly building ( tbh probably a lot of smoke and mirrors).

Ordinary old people who have “hoarded wealth” (by which you probably mean own their own home) will have to pay their own social care costs (oh look, Labour have just cancelled the cap), enabling those with little or no assets to be state funded.

How is wage inequality anything to do with old people. Immigrants are providing the source of cheap labour , not pensioners.

As an old white person, there seems to be a lot of age discrimination banded about these days,

Perhaps he could clarify and expand on his theory.

Assuming some people on the streets are actually angry about systemic issues and not just opportunists that want a scrap...

People cite certain issues when raging about immigration. Housing, jobs, services e.g. NHS. Immigrants 'take' these things.

I'm pointing out that the same parties and donors that encourage this line of thinking or straight up do the blaming themselves...

Sold off council housing stock and didn't replace it. Don't get houses built. Underfund services. Sell factories and jobs abroad.

If you feel the game's rigged against you, the people who run the game rigged it, not the player who joined the table after you.

Old people of any race, colour usually don't earn a wage. They retire. Even non whites

... so maybe using the Twin Towers attack as an example to back up your argument when I'm talking about here and now in the UK wasn't the best move.
To be fair to me, it wasn’t Americans who attacked the Twin Towers.

i agree with the sentence in bold, but how is any of that the fault of old white people like me?

I totally disagree, the pissed up dick head wasn’t being aggressive. There was no suggestion that others would join in. In fact, the coppers action was more likely to provoke a violent reaction from the mob than to have left him alone, stumbling along in his drunken state.

It was violent and unnecessary, especially when you see the level of police response to, say, a marauding mob invading a pub or attacking cars.

Oh come on. This is the absolute definition of fuck around and find out. I would simply not get pissed and antagonise a group of riot police during a riot. FFS

My wife asked if we should cancel anniversary plans due to riots.

Id love to save money but I said fuck that. Can't let them ruin day to day life.

It didn’t look much like a riot to me. Surprised the police were even there, given their response elsewhere.

Never said it was. I'm talking about people that own and run newspapers, TV channels, fund political parties, own most land and property, run Brexit campaigns.
So not necessarily old by my standards then, as likely to be late middle age. The clarity you have just given, if in the original post, would not have elicited a response from me.
