There should be a ban for a period of time. Most of the people involved will deserve a second chance, some won’t though. I’m particularly thinking about the 58 year old with a history of this behaviour sentenced yesterday, his mindset is clearly set in still carrying on like this at his age. People need to be punished for what they’ve done, we need to remember that their actions mean they willingly took themselves out of a functioning society, they have to earn the right to welcomed back into that society.
Spot on.

This time. His history I believe is littered with violence and racism. At 58 I think you have admit he’s beyond rehabilitation.

Again though, how many people are at the CBS every week with a list of convictions that aren't on the front page of the paper?

I hadn't seen about previous racism convictions, have you got a link? I just saw violence starting in the 80's.

He's hit a copper, he needs to be punished and serve his time I agree but where is the line that the club bans people?

Hard to imagine anyone on here in prison, what are the crimes?
O'Day - Arguing in an empty room
Boosh - Wumming
Tony - Signing up to a football forum despite having no interest in football
BlueSkies - Persistent bed wetting
GIMOC - Chatting shit
Hardly arrestable offences.
GIMOC was being racist. Hamertime was racist and there was another who was posting racist nonsense.

It was just a joke...
Maybe he'll get a knock at the door then, but i'm sure the police have better things to do that track down conspiracy theorists and shite ITKs.

Aren’t they supposed to have paid their debt to society having been imprisoned?

Where does it end? According to some, people who vote for reform are racists. How many people across the country in total voted for them?

Keep narrowing it down and you will need a Palestine flag to get into a city match.

But how do you control it? We've seen the comments on this board. Clearly some are racist. Some hide it better than others but they will be allowed to attend under your rules. We can't decide based on whether it's 'our type of criminal' and has to be a one size fits all and either if they've done the time then they're allowed back or not at all.

I'd be interested to read the views of Pete on this as he's very pro rehabilitation.
One of my very best mates (friends since the age of 10...we are both 70 now) served a long prison sentence from the age of 17.He was fully rehabilitated upon release and has gone on to be very successful in business.
I can tell you he's a huge Sky Blue's fan and over many years he's put a hell of a lot of money and sponsorship into the club.
As an aside another lifelong friend of the pair of us unfortunately got dementia at a relatively young age and lives in a residential home,I know for certain that my mate helps pay the families contribution to the care costs.

Obviously I won't say what it was but he served his time initially in a young offenders prison and then in two adult prison's,i used to write to him regularly and visit him every few months....just doing that is enough to make a person think fuck this I'm keeping on the straight and narrow tbh.

To be fair there's somebody who posted a lot on here and openly said they went to prison a lot for violence. One of the nicest blokes on here (and spoke to him off here).

I see Elon has reached the retweeting Britain First stage now.

Is he admitting to making it up?

It was that guy who made up that a Muslim woman was acid attacked by far right thugs.

It doesn’t matter. He is on the front of papers, a club will know who is so have the evidence to ban him if that’s what they wish to do.

Just saying it's a very dangerous precedent to set.

You have said because he has convictions of racism, is that true or hearsay? What if the club ban him based on that but it isn't?

correct but because hes extreme left its fine

I'm not sure he's saying it was him though?

Although he said "It's a hoax" and is now saying "it's not a hoax and the person who did it is dangerous".

You would think he is top of the targets as well for spreading lies?

Plenty of people are on banning orders without having been to prison. I’m not sure why people feel the need to connect the two things. Any club should have the right to refuse his business based on his history. I’d even have a duty of care to other fans. I’m not suggesting indefinite bans, except maybe that 58 year old, there seems to be more than enough evidence that that is just who he is.

Again though, the danger is that you have said he has a racist past. I can see it's widely said he has a history of violence going back to the 80's but nothing about the racist stuff. (he might well have, just google isn't showing anything obvious)

Isn't it dangerous to start banning people based on hearsay? You would think they would want to have some sort of way of checking,
