On the whole I agree with this idea, but can see there is lots of room for debate on what should be considered acceptable and what should not:

Every single person, at some point in life will be offended by something people have said or done. If every time somebody offended somebody else and it was banned wed have nothing. The world would be grey and dull. Youd have a choice of 3 haircuts, but would have to point at a picture and not speak incase you offended the barber. Then the barber wouldn't cut your hair incase the point on his scissors looked too much like a penis and offended you. How far do we go!
ITS FUCKING RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! Anybody who watches an advert and decides that they no longer wish to be a doctor because the woman on the advert was a stay at home mum, didn't deserve to be a doctor anyway.
I'm offended. Why on all the baby milk formula adverts does it show women breastfeeding????? Wheres all the breastfeeding men???? How rude! Such sexist pigs!! I'm offended!
FUCK OFF AND BE OFFENDED QUIETLY THEN YOU c**t!

If you were a male offering babysitting services, people would automatically (whether their bias is unconscious or not) think you are a paedo. Same reason the VAST majority of primary school teachers, cub scout leaders, etc. are now female. As a dad who played a fair part in bringing up my two daughters, I do get offended when men are portrayed as ham-fisted or incompetent when it comes to anything baby or domestic related.
As to whether it actually causes 'social harm', I don't know. But I think it goes go beyond simply annoying people. It's a pervasive stereotype, especially among women.
I'm sure it wouldn't be easy for a boy or man to get hired as a babysitter, whereas a woman would be assumed to be competent.

Yep absolutely. But not the trivia that the ASA are banning& that’s your social harm, right there
