Corbyn has a plan.Im a socialist.
I’ll expand a bit.
My main issue is climate change. The Tories are basically denying it and kicking it into the long grass rather than using it as an opportunity to lead the world and grow the economy.
Outside of that I believe in public services. I believe in public ownership of natural monopolies and free access to education. I could go into depth on why but the fact is I do.
Labour under Corbyn is the only one close to tackling the issues I care about.
You want to lose your vote?Maybe we should stop all the senile OAPs voting!
As you get older you get wiser. All that tells you is people are selfish. Once they're in the club, shut the doors.
Besides as you get older you get more set in your ways. Change becomes a more scary proposition and familiarity becomes a cosy blanket to cling to.
Some of us got on with life. We worked hard and saved hard. We did without so we could save. And some like myself continue to save hard. This forum seems to have a disproportionately high number of people who are absolutely loaded and planning to retire in their 50s. Why don't you all club together and buy the club and build us a new ground?
They won't have blame put on Labour for killing off final salary pensions with the massive tax grab so they feel the need to have a go at someone.Exactly why are people jealous?
Final salary pension?average wage of a primary school teacher - £25,777
average wage of a secondary school teacher- £29,593
Average wage of a nurse - £24,588
Average wage of a Police constable - £30,933
Average wage of a fireman - £29360
Average wage of a social worker - £29,167
Average wage of a prison officer - £27,972
Who'd want to work in the public service

How long would it take you to plant each bean?Apparently there are 465 beans in a tin of Heinz. if someone is putting in 1 per second that takes them over 7 minutes to fill a tin. How are there so many tins in a supermarket.
That's how ridiculous you sound.
3 teams to maintain for every team planting them. They’re vulnerable while they’re small and need watering and maintaining. Apparently it’s a real issue with some tree planting schemes.
How long to dig the hole? Have you ever tried to get through untouched earth before? Then break up what you have taken out?You think getting through a full grown tree with a chainsaw takes longer than dropping a sapling in a small hole and covering the roots with dirt?
No, average salary pension.Final salary pension?
Not anymore!Final salary pension?
So he will get any easier ride then?
These interviews and panels are not likely to influence most of us when we put our cross in the box imo
Just provide a bit of a chance to vent about the opposition's policies

So.
Boris gets in.
Boris gets Brexit “done”.
Boris doesn’t extend the implementation period.
We leave without a deal.
In that scenario Boris will have to borrow more than Labour are currently planning to borrow according to the IFS.
How are we going to pay for that?
Even by your standards...one of the stupidest things you ever posted. At this point I’m convinced that the Tories could announce they’re going to chop everyone’s legs off and Bazza and Dom would be on here posting how they had too many legs anyway and have been wanting to lose some weight.

A lot better than anyone can expect in the private sector thanks to Labour. No, average salary pension.

But still you try and get elsewhere what they have. About a third down on a final salary for the average person but can be much more. Not anymore!
Yet you ignore how much defending of Corbyn and Labour goes on. You even join in yourself. At this point I’m convinced that the Tories could announce they’re going to chop everyone’s legs off and Bazza and Dom would be on here posting how they had too many legs anyway and have been wanting to lose some weight.
I honestly don't understand what you're trying to say.But still you try and get elsewhere what they have. About a third down on a final salary for the average person but can be much more.
Corbyn would make a half decent PM?Nah I’ve posted far stupider.
Of course it is true. If it is 1/60 Or better and average wage it is still a good pension. That is nearly 2% of your annual wage as pension each year. 30 years service is half the average wage.I honestly don't understand what you're trying to say.
If you're saying that pension benefits are still better in state rather than public sector, I can assuredly tell you that that is not true as we stand.
If not, I'm all ears!
The shifts here are a pain in the arse but this company has given me a bloody good living. He’s a success dude your a failure. You were giving it the big un you are a higher rate tax later now. When I left JLr a 28 year old analyst was earning £47,000 - you are seriously a joke
It isn't going to be easy, but just because something has not been implemented before, it doesn't mean its not worth pursuing, otherwise politics would not exist as a practice.
What people predict is purely speculative, but there is good reason to refute the simple explanation that a Corbyn government would amount to 'boom and bust'. What Corbyn proposes is a version of social democracy similar to the 1960s when many industries were under public ownership, education was free and rigorous. Before we suggest that this was 'the past', I would like to suggest that a more equal society acts against the bulwark of the inevitably more isolated world the UK will inevitably face if/when it exits the EU. This is not merely about redistributing money from rich to poor - its also a fundamental rethink of the way we think about what constitutes an 'acceptable' distribution of income and wealth. With unfettered capitalism, we have billionaires/CEOs earning unjustifiably more than the lowest paid of their companies - and Labour's policy is about minimising these unsustainable/immoral ratios by targeting the richest.
Labour's manifesto, however incorrectly one might interpret it, has actually fully costed its policies - unlike the Conservative manifesto which shirks from offering detail of its policies let alone how they will be costed, and completely shuns the impact of Brexit.
All of the above is true, and as much as I despise Johnson, I'd still vote for him over Corbyn!Nah I’ve posted far stupider.
Go on, give us one little criticism of Johnson. Anything, his racism, his hate of the working class, his sexism, homophobia? Not a social justice guy? Maybe his security issues around Russia and his love of bunga bunga parties? His hypocrisy slating single parents while abandoning his own kids? His refusal to be scrutinised by the electorate relying on memes and shady Facebook ads like a pound shop Trump? His complete capitulation to the EU in negotiations, ending up with something he himself said no conservative PM would back? His inability to control his party? His ability to promise austerity and still potentially borrow more than Labour?
It’s not like there’s not a wide selection to choose from.
Is there anything you don’t like about the guy?
State or private?It isn't.
I know what my own pensions are.
Yet you ignore how much defending of Corbyn and Labour goes on. You even join in yourself.
Neither are fit to run the UK.
One won't say anything of importance and the other comes out with fairy stories.
One says get Brexit done. The other tries not to say anything.
All of the above is true, and as much as I despise Johnson, I'd still vote for him over Corbyn!
Labour supporters just dont seem to grasp how loathsome Corbyn is, if Labour ditched Corbyn now, they may still have a chance of winning, but the fact that an out of touch, public school wanker like Johnson will win the election, and probably by a landslide, just shows how bad Corbyn really is.
Both.State or private?
This is a rare occasion it would work. Even a lot of people who are voting for him don't think he will do a decent job.You want a party to elect a new leader halfway though an election campaign??
Old private new state by the sound of it.Both.
It's either that or loose,You want a party to elect a new leader halfway though an election campaign??
Do I like him???Nah I’ve posted far stupider.

Currently (thanks to budget cuts) I have two jobs (well, technically three, but that one doesn't really count in terms of a pension). One state, one private. Roughly 50/50 split in terms of salary... if not hours. Guess which one pays more, for less output?Old private new state by the sound of it.
This is a rare occasion it would work. Even a lot of people who are voting for him don't think he will do a decent job.
Someone without baggage. Someone with charisma. Someone who could rip apart one sentence Boris. And that wouldn't be hard.
So you have a private one paying in more than a state one is worth?Currently (thanks to budget cuts) I have two jobs (well, technically three, but that one doesn't really count in terms of a pension). One state, one private. Roughly 50/50 split in terms of salary... if not hours. Guess which one pays more, for less output?
L:ike I say, I know what my pensions are. I don't really want to discuss my personal circumstances because I'll be accused of the righties of whinging or something, I'll get some bollocks about how I need to work harder or something Note, I dont begrudge people cash if they work hard, my best friend has a very decent living and fully deserves it. What I do resent is the ya-boo-sucks smugness that comes across with some (not all). Cash is not everything in life... but when the working conditions deecline drastically, cash can be something of a compensation.
