Pathetic - what would you have Fred the store man running JLR you clown
Complete nonsense - at what point did I say those that weren't intelligent should run things?
What the comment related to was Maggie - who clearly felt anyone in a menial/physical job could just be cast aside without any form of consideration or consultation as and when desired. Her mindset was similar to those landed gentry of the 17th/18th century who'd just knock down entire villages because it spoilt the vista from their living room - they didn't matter.
You'd have got on well with McCarthyNo she was in a situation where for the only time until now there was a genuine Marxist threat
Austerity, freeze in wages. Prosperous?the prosperous society we have now
You'd have got on well with McCarthy
You'd be all for people earning cash for doing a good job, surely?Michael Foot was paid by the KGB and that lovely man who lived a life of wealth and prosperity - Mr Scargill - was a member of the communist party. Oddly as miners got thinner Mr Scargill lived a rather opulent lifestyle
The modern day Mr Scargill - the delightful Mr Mcclusky earns how much? £400,000 a year? A true man of the people indeed.
You'd be all for people earning cash for doing a good job, surely?
It appears that your argument is that since we joined the EU, we've never had it so good...
Two power hungry egotists combined to devastating effect.Scargill did a great job for himself
No she was in a situation where for the only time until now there was a genuine Marxist threat - we would not have the prosperous society we have now if she had not destroyed an ideology aimed at the destruction of capitalism
We certainly didn’t have it good at all in the 70’s and without Thatcher the 80’s would have been a very sorrowful decade
Scargill did a great job for himself

I left school in 84 been out of work for 6 months ever since,There’s work out there if you want to get off your star even in high unemployment times. What a time to be alive

It's just I keep hearing how awful Labour are for the economy then I see that unemployment went to double figures multiple times under the Tories. It's almost like they took a knife to industry with no replacement lined up.
I remember the news (don’t recall which channel) used to do a jobs count once a week of jobs lost vs new jobs in industry. It was never good news. What a time to be alive
In the 80’s you actually could sign on as a student in the term gains so I assume I was in those unemployed stats. The fact is I never was unemployed, I was in degree course that had 20 plus hours a week of lectures, I bought my first house in 1990 which ate up 50% of my income
The early years of thatcher and unemployment was a direct outcome of the utter screw up of the labour government. You also need to really make your mind up on what labour stands for. Every conservative government after the 70’s shambles has spent more on every element of the Welfare state. The Blair government is the exception so you either are are socialist or a Blairite

So Boris delivers two already identified lies in his opening statement.
Was expecting much better than this from Johnson. Coming across like he hasn't been briefed on the basics. Can't imagine that is the case so has he just ignored everything he's been told preferring to try and wing it on the night?
Don't see the point of it when you can have someone stand up there lying. There should be a team of people behind the scenes fact checking everything and feeding it back to the presenter to challenge them.Debate is a shambles when you have clapping seals lapping up anything from either side. What's the point.

Corbyn talking about the 4 day week gets laughed at. 'Hahaha! I want to work myself into the ground! Trot!'
The fact that a national news program had this in the 80’s speaks volumes about what a party the 80’s wasn’t.Was news at 10 on ITV. Was pretty depressing
Some Microsoft facilities have introduced it and seen big spikes in productivity.
Boris’ answer to every question seems to be Brexit.
