I'm going for Labour, just because I want the Tories out.

We have a Tory with a very large majority here, so we need to overturn that margin.

Not convinced by Labour, but it's got to be better than what we've had the past 14 years surely

It's been awful

Yeah, and I DID need to. 😂

I lean right but I don't support a political party like a football team, this Conservative party needs flushing into the eternal toilet and hopefully something more competent can grow back.
I wouldn't be enthusiastic enough to lift a pen to vote for Labour.
Lib Dems - embarrassing
Reform - pointless protest party
Green - cringe left wingers, not for me

In conclusion, if I bother to even leave the house I'll probably just draw a big veiny cock with a bit of jizz seeping out the end.

"Lean right"..... I think maybe that is an understatement. What is it that puts you off Labour.... whenever I ask a dyed in the wool Tory that they never really have an answer other than I just don't like Starmer..... and no political judgement or understanding of policy, to make an informed choice. . It's weird just instinctively anti labour and no curiosity or interest in finding out what they stand for.. get their info from Daily Mail and GB News. It's a weird, very lazy and they not really interested in what's best for the country. Also the tired cliche 'MPs are all the same just out for themselves' or 'lefty jokes who hate cars and who won't stop the invasion of foreigners' ! Basically cant be arsed. We are becoming a very dumbed down, selfish and apathetic nation which is quite alarming.

Oh dear. I don't want to vote for Labour, I'm on the right, I want a competent Conservative party (not this one.) Just remembered why I never post in politics threads, some left wingers get angry and go on the attack very quickly. Thanks @Evo1883 but I'm out pal.

Lean right is the perfect description, I mean, I've never voted UKIP, unlike some people on this thread

Or it could be that they've lived through enough Labour governments to know what an absolute shit show we're going to get when Labour inevitably do win!

Don't get me wrong, I can't support this shit Tory government, they simply have to go, and no other party other than Labour is anywhere capable of coming up with a viable alternative.

but if anyone believes they'll be any better, or life will be any more affordable under Starmer, I think they'll be in for a very rude awakening. (Wait and see)

Personally I've lost all hope in British politicians.
We deserve far better.

Equally there are many who lean left that refuse to see past the lies and scandal. I'm not excusing either of those valid points, but some of the fiscal measures taken post covid / furlough were necessary and yet so many want the magic money tree to keep on giving, often to those who don't contribute.

I'm not sure levels were required to that level, sprucing everything up,and the fraudulent activity?
People's mental state though!, but when were they ever interested in that?

Plenty of other countries went through similar covid experiences to us and recovered far quicker. The mega rich came out of it even wealthier, theres a reason for both of those things.

I see someone else has joined me in the Conservative option on the poll. To the disillusioned voters out there, I'd say v9ting Conservative is even more important at this election.

Labour will win by a landslide. My vote is pointless, it's always Labour here. However we need the numbers in the election to show there is a way back in the future. If Reform are the second option and the Conservative Party obliterated there is no way back. Reform at some point would get their chance. That would not only make us a laugh ming stock like Trump but is also very dangerous ( a la Le Pen), so be careful with your protest vote and I'd encourage spoilt ballots or stay at home over voting Reform.

Conservatives for me.

We voted for Brexit
Covid was a worldwide disaster dealt with appallingly around the world not just here
Economic crisis again has been worldwide and can't be blamed on a single countries government.
Inflation is one of the lowest in Europe, but let's not mention that because it might reflect well on them.

I'm not denying that the last 14 years have been shit but would Corbyn and Starmer have done better? I personally don't believe so.

I think we've had strong party affiliations for some time, certainly since the 70's, which parents tried to pass down through generations. Working class manufacturing areas almost vehemently Labour while middle/upper class would vote Tory regardless. Numerous scandals and sleaze in the 80's yet kept on getting back in.

I think maybe we've become more polarised in terms of left/right, and part of that I think is due to the internet and social media enabling echo chambers, but I don't think it's party-wise. You'd have thought in the current situation Labour would be extremely popular among it's base, but many are apathetic and considering LD/Green, while on the right the more extreme party in Reform seem to be getting far more traction than a far right party could have ever hoped to have done in the past.

So when inflation was high it was nothing to do with them but its down to them that it's low?!

I always look for a fairer society. Or the aim of a government to create a fairer society.

Over the past 14 years, the rich have got an awful lot richer, we now have food banks and 900,000 kids have been pushed into child poverty.

The poor just keep getting poorer, while the percentage of rich people getting richer, skyrockets. That's no way to run a government.

Hoping Labour will try and rectify that in some way, but if they don't, I will be looking to another party that maybe can.

There should never be billionaires and trillionaires about, while others are starving and in poverty.

What a world we have created here. 😢

And I always look what is best for the country, for everyone, before I look to see how it affects me personally.

I am prepared to be worse off, if it helps someone less fortunate than myself.

Not convinced on Labour here, but it's the only other option right now, in a two party system, as the Lib Dems never seem to get their act together.

I am a socialist, but do accept the world has changed. Labour had to move to the centre.

Hoping there will be something new and forward thinking in the not too distant future.

Funnily enough, amongst the people I know who are about to vote for the first ever time (so 18, 19 and 20 year olds), they are all going to vote Green.

I think Greens are really popular amongst the younger generation.

Anyway, let's make the world a better and fairer place, whoever is in power. Not holding my breath though.

I hear what you say, but unless the voters leave the Torys "on mass" you won't see the change that's required.

There's always a "way back" even if they are obliterated at the ballot box. Reform have basically come from nothing to challenge the conservatives in no time at all.

If the Tory's survive to be a legitimate opposition then I fear they will just blame Truss and her incompetent budget or Sunak's lack of leadership rather than acknowledge that they are now completely out of touch with the country and in need of a total "top down" overhaul.

I'm afraid we're in for at least 5 more years of depressing government before anything improves.
