Although it says "First Team Coach".

What's going to happen about assistant manager?
Just wondering if we might see more staff added?? If, as someone said today “player/assistant manager”?? Who could be the potential candidates? Milner? Henderson?? Will want to learn and step up asap??

Yep. I remember his debut at Anfield. Best player on the park.
Strachan played him wide the next season for some bizarre reason
Strange decision that, maybe it was to accommodate McAllister and Soltvedt in the middle.

Strachan did the same to Robbie Keane the season after, if I remember rightly; dropping him wide for away games and playing Roussel up front alone.

He’d lost whatever plot he had left at that point.

Boateng looks to be in great shape. Maybe he can help our players with their conditioning and fitness levels. Hopefully he along with Rhys can also help attract up and coming talent.

We’ve added a highly rated development coach from the Premiership and the ex assistant manager of Ghana. That’s some quality additions right there. Players will be getting a step up in coaching this season.

Why is assistant manager of Ghana automatically a quality addition?

Looks like the new Performance Director has a lot of say in the hiring of Boateng and Rhys per the article below: https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...n-recruited-for-role-at-coventry-city-4687050

Coventry’s performance director Claire-Marie Roberts added: “George and Rhys were consistently the strongest candidates throughout our extensive selection process. Their respective skills will bring a new dimension to our experienced multi-disciplinary team as we work to continually enhance the development and preparation of our first-team players.”

Blimey. She has only been here 5 minutes and she's picked new coaching staff

Mark Robins was quoted as saying they both impressed in the interview process. He has clearly been involved. But you would expect her to be. I'm sure Doug King was as well.

Things change. It is good to have new eyes, new voices, new ideas at the club. It is how you make progress.

Loved George Boateng when he played for us but I only care whether he is a decent coach. No place for sentiment really.

I don't think he has been appointed through sentiment do you? Nobody doing the recruitment was at the club when he was.

Apparently we have appointed Josh Gowling as U18s coach. He was most recently manager at Hereford FC in National League North, and i have it on good authority that he was seen there as "a disaster" and "absolutely hopeless".
Ms Roberts (whoever she is) have a hand in that too, did she?

Can YOU tell me her pedigree/track record at this level?? I'd be suspicious of anyone of any gender if they just got parachuted into such a key role.
Send a FOI to the club & I'm sure HR will help.

Maybe it will reveal she was a superstar at a megapower like Worcester City.
