This seems spot on to me and right in the Trusts remit: not removing or banning anything but adding historical context.

The state of some of the replies to this tweet from the National Trust. Seem to recall when a statue was pulled down in Bristol we were told it should have stayed up so we can learn from history. Here's the National Trust trying to teach people using history and getting abuse for it.

He was shot at point blank range. I don't understand the sheer number of bullets fired into him. After the first couple, it seems ever so slightly gratuitous in my book.
