I am not sure Italy has much of a colonial past? Certainly not to the same extent and you don’t see anything related to it in public view.What does it educate it’s citizens on its colonial past? He was talking about Italy's colonial past, so presumably he means anything since 1861 when the country was founded. I know about their attempts to colonise parts of Africa but it is not something that is celebrated really, I mean I have never seen anything related to it.The Roman empire had a thing or two about slaves though.
