How dare somebody do some research, yes.Time for another march then. This time take down statues of any smarty pants , white , physically feeble, intellectuals, including women.
A great reason to bring BLM back to the fore. After all , it seems to have lost its way, certainly on here, in the last few days.

I mean I haven't even read it yet, for all I know the methodology is way out. But what, actually, is so horrifying about people researching such things?
don’t know why the idea of research unnerves people.
It's interesting if anything.
It does also depend who does it.
I've said nothing but that it's interesting, either. It is interesting, it might turn out to be badly flawed, however it’s an attempt to do something outside of just rowing and accusing people, so to casually dismiss & mock is weird.
Too late
Really ? It iis scary that a lot on here are just jumping on anything they find to give them an excuse to wave a stick at something. Get a life. You’re a teacher you say. Scary really.
Noooooooo.
Ok....in for a penny....lets stick this in the mix....
'Don't call me BAME'
....Labels eh!
Common sense has arrived......The ex Wolves player Karl Henry sums it up:
Without sounding racist, have they researched into if there's any factual basis?
Obviously not saying black players aren't intelligent but I would say the most powerful, explosive players I can think of are black in terms of physique and strength. Look at the fella at wolves who says he has never done weights. Yet if you look at players like Trent Alexander Arnold he's hardly built like a wrestler but is a very intelligent player.
The other thing is black goalkeepers, there are more in the last 5 or so years though.
Would be interested to read more. To be honest I'm not sure why they're saying describing players as having pace and power is a negative thing."Meanwhile, those with darker skin tones were "significantly" more likely to be "reduced to their physical characteristics or athletic ability", such as their pace and power."
Just reading that alone, there's definitely something to it
Common sense has arrived......
Racism is hardly an issue that has suddenly appeared out of nowhere. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of anti-racism organisations. Nothing stopping anyone complaining about BLM getting on board with one of the many alternatives or even starting their own organisation. Not sure how just saying not to support BLM is going to help things. The ex Wolves player Karl Henry sums it up:
Read what you've written. Its just posturing drivel.Yes- and I would imagine there is also an element of subjectivity to any analysis of the words people use. However after days of talk about the political motivations around organisations & talk about marxism & things like that, diverting away from the actual problem, its good to see an attempt to get some facts. Nobody (I think) is in any doubt that there is a problem, here's an attempt to get some reality & move away from labels, politics & name calling, and yet immediately it gets rejected. The study might be good, might be bad, but just dismissing it casually is stupid.

Yes. What are you? A stay at home keyboard hero who panders to whatever is the correct currect thing to say ."Time for another march then. This time take down statues of any smarty pants , white , physically feeble, intellectuals, including women.

a "teacher", lol
You can imagine what would have happened in the states. Totally inappropriate to force someone off their bike and it’s absolutely an assault in my eyes. And why no apology and support to help the lad.
I was stopped about his age coming back Late at night from my friends house and it scared me. The copper thought I was jay walking. I was 12 or so.
It’s the lack of compassion or apology that would really piss me off.
Im starting to think it would be better just to force groups of people from different races and backgrounds to go to the pub for a pint and an open chat which would be a massive eye opener for "normal" people, regardless of race. (ie people who can have a discussion without wanting to make everything about politics.)
No doubt about it- I'll exclude your Coventrians & Lurkers from that analogy thoughI think this is quite underrated as a way of getting rid of misconceptions about others. The problem with the politics stuff is it affects so many aspects of society in one form or another and invariably people have strong opinions about it. It's been said before but I reckon if you got most people from here into the pub or out to a City game they'd probably get on.

...or end up having a massive punch-up.If we can do that over a beer, we might become less polarised or at least not just assume that the other guy's a twat.

Actually, as we all post on message boards, it's likely to be a passive-agressive stare and tut.
We did a GMK meet or two way back when. I'm still not convinced everyone was who they said they were!Nah it'll be dudes shuffling around checking their phones and going 'um...yeah...are you...?'

You know when you pick a bad pun thinking how witty you are, and then get bored shitless explaining that yes, you know it's Norman Wisdom...I'd be disappointed if Duggy didn't really have a moustache. Mind you I haven't lived in Brighton in years and I doubt your northern credentials.

My name is definitely Tom, just to confirm.I'd be disappointed if Duggy didn't really have a moustache. Mind you I haven't lived in Brighton in years and I doubt your northern credentials.
