I think most City fans appreciate he is a good player. You will always get the odd few who, for whatever reason, refuse to see what the rest of us see. (Leicester, Newcastle obviously agree with most City fans in being willing to payout for Thomas and Murphy).which, of course, is why the 2016 English Champions are looking to buy him.
If this is how we view a player who works his socks off for the team, contributed much much more than most then he is better off elsewhere, where he will be appreciated.
You plonk? Are you eleven Gint11?
If you are eleven, then when you learn to read you will see that I have not said anywhere he is going to make it.
Get your friends to tell you that I have said he deserves the chance to fulfil his potential.
There will be no tears over any player leaving(since Dennis Mortimer in 75 at least-ask your grandad)
Ary good point that riyad pointed out, yes he did outperform our supposed premier league loanees and maybe we are all underestimating him, I still say good luck to him for engineering a possible move and if he can get a pay cheque of £20k a month thats fantastic, it would turn my head for sure if someone was offering me nearly a quarter of a million a year
One of our own? Thought he was from Leicester?:emoji_thinking:O xlade chamberlain, Walcott ten years or so ago went for 25!million plus between them from lower division Southampton, James Vardy was dirt cheap, who is the England regular?
I haven't anywhere said he is a Vardy or a Ali but I do believe he has earned the right to push on.
There doesn't have to a division amongst us in wishing one of our own well and recognizing he is seen as worth taking a punt on.
Window closes at end of August, plenty of time yet.Until the window is closed, nice one George + Agent.
The offer has to be more than he was on previously. I'd withdraw whats on the table now and put an offer that's £1 above what he was on last season, make him train with the U18s and just get on with finding replacements. Bit of a dick move to leave us hanging this long.
I should think the delay is due to the agent rather than Thomas. Hopefully it will be finalised by the end of the week. Are Leicester still the most likely?

What's the actual basis for this comment? Seems to me like a lot of surmising is going on, with precious few facts to back it upJust another little tWat who thinks hes better than he is , fuck him and his agent

Agree, if he has no intention of signing with us then why are we allowing him to stay fit with our coaches / facilities etc?
Just leave a contract offer there, let him train himself in a local park or something.

Why needlessly piss off him and his mates at the club.
I don't really object to letting players who we have released train while they look for a contract. As long as there isn't too many of them and they aren't disruptive.Agree, if he has no intention of signing with us then why are we allowing him to stay fit with our coaches / facilities etc?
Meanwhile. Moorhouse has been on trial all this time and not been offered a contract. Haven't we messed him around and stopped him possibly getting a deal somewhere else.Indeed, it's a long way back from making a player train alone.
I know time will tell but I think the last part of your comment will be wrong the clubs that want him are 2 leagues above that I know theses teams have money to burn they still see something they feel they can work on .Good luck to the lad if he choses to stay or go.If we don't allow him to train maybe it effects the deal and any compensation, I wish he would just go now though I hope he has a good career but I can't see it being much above league one

The hold up might just be our end(ccfc) of things wanting to get the best deal for ourselves knowing full well when you leave it to tribunals the side letting go of a player rarely get the players worth. With millions and millions neither seem to be pushing the boat out to sign him, he works hard but is a very average finisher almost every time he comes up against the keeper he misses especially when he has time to think

We have literally no say in the matterThe hold up might just be our end(ccfc) of things wanting to get the best deal for ourselves knowing full well when you leave it to tribunals the side letting go of a player rarely get the players worth.

Yeah but it's up to the buying club to agree a fee or go to tribunal. They can sign George and negotiate with us after. None of this hold up has anything to do with us. We could be asking for a certain fee and not getting it but that doesn't stop Thomas leaving. We do mate, we can agree a fee with them or it goes to tribunal which won't be the route the buying team will want to go.
Rumblings in the ranks we can't afford, not when MR is trying to bulild a unit. Keep him sweet and the other players by letting him train: no point pissing anyone off when he's more than likely going to leave anyway at some point. We can't afford to keep a kid with potential when the lure of wonga is elsewhere and I can't see us being able to afford (or want to) break the wage structure. Just hope we can get as best deal as possible in the circumstances, he is afer all a product of our academy and any compo should reflect the money invested in his development (regardless of him being under contract).
Thomas is no longer employed by CCFC.Surely it's got to come to the point where Robins has got to put him on the spot and say "yes or no" I know we'll leave the offer on the table but can't we give him a deadline and after that we'll ban him from the training ground?
Whilst he's allowed to train with us it's just making him comfortable to sit around for a bit
