The thing fans don't realise are the factors Robins has to take into consideration when selecting a team namely:
1) Do I tinker with an unbeaten line-up?
2) How would changing the line-up affect the morale of the person(s) being replaced (because the team is unbeaten thus far)?
3) What if making changes to the lineup doesn't produce the desired effect?
4) Are there any injuries/pain barriers that players are playing through which merits them sitting out a game or two (i.e. we didn't know about Kelly's injury until just before the Blackpool match, Mason sat out today, Fadz had a hamstring problem a couple of games ago)?
5) Ensuring all players (even reserves) understand their respective roles, buy into the style of play and that everyone comes ready to play when called upon
6) Keeping the dressing room happy and making sure there is good team chemistry and weeding out any disgruntled elements (e.g. Hickman, Junior Brown etc.)
Besides all of the above, the manager has to help recruit well (which I think he's done better this season than last) and recruited early (e.g. Rose, and business done in early parts of the summer this season).
It's not an easy job. It's easy for fans to criticise. But c'mon let's give credit when it's due. I think Robins has been fantastic.
