I don’t know what it is exactly about The Idles, I feel like I should like them but I don’t.
i saw them a couple of years back. During the gig the lead singer angrily read out a bad review they’d received which described them as derivative, I think I agreed with it.
I was irritated this time by him shouting out “fuck the king” or something. Like an angry 6th former!
I watched Coldplay last night. I’ve never liked them and haven’t kept up with their music. Quite a show, though I think they were shite and Chris Martin strikes me as being an arse!
And so ends my Sunday moan. I do enjoy stuff, honest.
Go Team are at Godiva this yearSome great bands there this year. Would love to see the go team!
Well I shall be attending!Go Team are at Godiva this year
Apart from last time they were at Glastonbury and he burst into tears when the crowd went mad for Danny Nedelko!
Worth watching on YouTube to see the contrast of the guitarist crowd surfing in his pants while the lead singer is in tears
That’s fair. Circa 2005 was peak Coldplay. A rush of blood to the head is one of my favourite ever albumsUsed to really like them.
Their downhill slide into mediocrity and safeness has been incredible though, in my humble opinion.
And there are so many people who feel the same.
In fairness, I think they did develop a new audience through the change they made, but I do now find them incredibly bland and the first time I heard that K-pop collaboration, I thought, what the f*ck have you done to yourselves. I think it is a truly dreadful record. Shocker. 🫣
Great fun tonight, Skinner was on good form
Sleaford mods cover of pet shop boys is worth checking out.
...and Orbital still manage to teleport me back to a middle of a field somewhere in Hampshire. Rave on.
Seen a tribute act of her on last weekShania Twain serious MILF but she sounds horrendous

Hasn't she reached Gilf status yet?Shania Twain serious MILF but she sounds horrendous
Shania Twain has gone down like a lead balloon. Seemed an ideal time to catch up on Coldplay - a proper artist still capable of selling millions upon millions. As expected, a great set.
I’m not really a fan of their but I saw them around 2001 for the Radio 1 event in Leicester and they did an extended encore after it had gone off air, they were excellent.A Rush of Blood to the Head is still a really good album imo, but yeah the weird dance/disco route they've taken since is pretty unbearable to listen to.
I bet they're probably more popular and well known now though globally, especially after doing a song with a K-Pop group
Was my initial thought as wellHasn't she reached Gilf status yet?
The crowd for Avril is the biggest I've seen for a non Pyramid act. God knows why she isn't on Pyramid when she's on a tour thats arenas and festival headlines. That crowd for scissor is probably the smallest I've ever seen at the pyramid stage.
It's now full of people who are more concerned with making an instagram post than the actual festival. It's a very overrated festival. Sound quality is terrible. Crowd are shit.
There's much better out there.
