Got to say they are good. Never knew they were a rock band !Just settling down for 2 hours of the Cure. Saw them at Glastonbury in 1995 (a few other times too) and they were great.

I remember sisters of mercy being on at reading one year. It was really hot and the goth massive we’re out in force. All wearing leather trousers to boot. There must have been some serious chafing and yeast infections that weekend.Sounding very good.
Sod being a summertime goth tho
He sounds exactly the same as when they started.I've never been into the Cure but his voice sounds great, particularly after watching the Janet Jackson set yesterday.

It's nice to see musicians and singers doing that.Impressed by The Cure,Not really my bag but wow could they play and sing!!!
It cuts across all boundaries. For quite some time now 'Glasto' has been a 'must' on the social calendar alongside Henley regatta. And 'doing' Rocky Horror.Never been and no intention of standing shoulder to shoulder with the great unwashed middle class lefties and champagne socialists
Mark Ratcliffe touched on it last night though. Its seems to be getting more like Karaoke with singers using less instruments and having an increasing use of backing tapes and the like. It's nice to see musicians and singers doing that.

The Cure were fucking brilliant
What the hell was that all about? Mining and dancing around the stage for 45 mins?:emoji_rolling_eyes: Garbage.I've never been into the Cure but his voice sounds great, particularly after watching the Janet Jackson set yesterday.
Just seen that footage of that young lad Alex Mann who got on stage with Dave, absolutely nailed it, what a moment for the lad, apparently his phone hasn't stopped ringing.
I reckon he'll rinse a few quid out of this, fair play to him.
