Jeez how many years ago was this that people remember it so clearly? Gmk characters obviously made a lasting impression :)

cant remember who it was, but he saw the girl and said what a minger, or something equally insulting, not knowing it was smiles daughter. Smiles went all Rambo like, threats galore.

Great stuff. Untrust regularly had massive fall outs and the like with far right wingers and general scenes.

Great times.

there were some real times. A former chairman at the club fully trying to sue GMK and then a GMK poster (Steve Carpenter iirc) for calling him a “rogue” stands out

westterrace2 (I think!) shared the email from the Cov Observer bloke where he called the board rogues, that's how it all began. McGinnity got furious and waved it about at the shareholders meeting before deciding to sue. it was pointed out (by me! Probably by others too) that the official message board was calling McGinnity and co far worse, so the natural conclusion was he'd have to sue himself. Cue the official board being closed down!

Some of the defence was quality too, that it depended how you interpreted 'rogue' and that it could construe a loveable cheeky chappy. The club statement also said that the board, most of whom were of unimpeachable integrity (or words similar). It begged the question why 'most'?!?

Ah, here we go.

"Publication of this is a gross libel against the Chairman, Board and Senior Managers of Coventry City, most of whom have an established status in public life and whose honesty and status is and must be unimpeachable."

So who didn't? Who didn't need unimpeachable honesty and status?!?

Cheeky. Clearly badly written and saying most have status in public life and all are unimpeachable.

The Leicester relegation thread was on Bentleys roof started by a Sheffield Wednesday fan and my self and TPH would go on everyday and give it a bump!
It’s title was along the lines of “Its a lovely day.....”
First post was “In the championship”!
Happy memories.
Who remembers Skyblue ultra?

when you’re smiling iirc

I used to post on there as PorkChopHill but someone has the name on here so I skilfully chose a new one.
Used to have regular battles with Rob87 and USskyblue which was fun at the time.

Anyone remember that Hull fan who used to give us loads every time we played them. Think he was called Westhulltiger.

DutchMountainDog was one of them, too.

I lost loads on tips supplied by Daz but occasionally and I mean very occasionally one came in.
I think The Coventrian is Alan. Very similar technique
