Bamford has it right, I know Grealishis utterly fucking ridiculous but the number of times refs buy it is a joke. Then you get punished for being honest. The noises Dacosta would make when he got tackled were embarrassing. Up to the referees and governing bodies to create an environment that punishes the pathetic behaviour and rewards honesty.

He's spot on here. Annoys me how often you hear 'if he'd gone down it would have been a penalty'. Also this thing where any contact is a penalty, that's not what the rules for a foul are its supposed to be careless, reckless or using excessive force.

Your half right-it’s also states regarding fouls “kicks or attempts to kick/trip or attempts the trip” etc etc.
Must say that putting that into practice when refereeing a game is a hard sell regarding fouls of which I have never even attempted.

It is players who cheat ...not referees. The clubs should be punished, retrospectively, far more for players who cheat etc if the ref misses it during the game.

Red card rescinded, and rightly so.

Grealish's reaction was disgraceful but you can still be sent off for minimal contact so a little surprised.

The bigger issue for me is absolutely zero decisions should need to be rescinded with VAR, that's literally what it's there for!
The sooner they bin it the better.
