Hurt - Johnny Cash
Dancing in the dark - Hot Chip
You ready now - Slaughter and the dogs
Born to run - Frankie goes to Hollywood
This is how it feels - Carter USM
Kiss - Age of chance

To name but a few. Once heard a cover of Talking Heads Once in a lifetime by a lady playing a harp which was brilliant but I've never been able to track it down.

Mr Tambourine Man- The Byrds. Original Dylan. I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself- White Stripes. Original Dusty Springfield. Whisky In The Jar - Metallica. Original Thin Lizzy.
I think Whisky in the Jar is a traditional Irish song that Thin Lizzy covered

I was always a fan of U2’s cover of unchained melody.

Jesus don’t want me for a sunbeam of the Nirvana unplugged album is probably my favourite though.
