Whereas you always choose to sit on the fence.
Do I?

Okay, if you say so. Ha! What tosh. I am just sensible enough to try and hold a balanced view of things when we don't have the full facts on matters.

So much said on here is based on assumption.

I don't come out with ridiculous stuff like the council are 100% to blame, cos that is just pure nonsense.

Anyone with anything resembling a brain knows that all parties in this hold a degree of culpability.

Gates will fall unless we have a blistering start and stay in the mix throughout.

I hope they don't, but I worry that the price increases are too steep. Last season it was £18 anywhere in the ground (if bought online), but now its £23-£27 which is a big hike. JSB area is cheap I know, but it was last season too - and it's not for everyone.

We'll see I guess. First game should be decent enough - 12-13K.

That would be decent, is it me or does the season seem to be starting early this year? Its still holiday season so a fair few could be away.

Yes missed one game last season wigan at home due to holiday.

I was hardly delighted. We needed promotion. Everything should have been expendable to achieve that.

You're right. SISU should have expended the playing budget and gave TM some money in January to strengthen the squad with a permanent replacement for Reda.

We're only going away for a Friday to Monday this summer, looking to get a last minute deal and have managed to pursuade the missus not to go the weekend we're at him :)

When everything is hunky dory he finds it hard to have a go about anything.

:)

Note: This part is theoretical, it never having been hunky dory.

I hope the club announce the break even figure earyl in the season. At least we can gauge then if we are hitting the target until they realise that we are actually above the needed break even figure and move the goalposts.

Or they just don't mention it like every other club

Funny how SISU are the club when it suits.

I suspect you're just as desperate for promotion to not happen. You're probably practising your Mowbray out rants already, you being the ring leader last season. I also remember how disappointed you were at the end of last season when we started getting a run together that gave us an outside chance of sneaking a playoff place. You were happier calling for the manager to go so you accusing others of wanting failure so they can rant about something / someone is most comical.

To be fair (and I don't always agree with Grendel) but he was right with TM last season. I was also calling for his head. A run of what was it...something like 3 wins in 25 games?? 99% of managers get sacked for runs like that.

TMs job last season was saved on the basis of the first 4 months of last season. Had it been on the last 5-6 months, we should've been looking for a new manager over the summer.

I've been convinced that he deserves a second chance...but lets not paint out that G was some sort of ring-leader. I recall myself starting a thread asking for him to go.

Just for balance and all that...

Personally , I think gates will drop this season.......................
Think the average gate over this season will be around the 8500 / 9000 mark .
