shame, but he will get paid to sit watching the games, we have to pay to watch them...

So, just to be clear, we are going into the season with ONE centre midfeilder who has actually played a league game in his career !!!

Felt bad for the guy he was properly getting stuck into the game. Thorny had to tell him to calm down at one point.

He completely bossed the half until his knock. Him and Gael were running it, linking really well, and Deegs was the man creating chances. Some lovely crisp passing-best player on the pitch by miles.

I was behind the goal at The Harbury Lane end (Clash t-shirt, rucksack :) ) and he walked straight past me on the way off. He said:

"It's the same thing as last time. I just can't fucking keep the ball." He looked really miffed, and sounded devestated.

I think slating a bloke for being a "sicknote" when he's had injuries like he has is incredibly harsh, and he looks a class act if we can get him fit. Better than Aron by a bloody mile IMO. He picked up loose balls constantly tonight and didn't stop running. His passing was mint. If he's that good when he's playing in pain, I can't wait to see how good he's gonna be when he's fit!

It does leave a huge Deegan shaped hole in our midfield for the new season however :(

We're hearing it's a thigh strain and not as bad as first feared, should only miss the first couple of games of the season. Fester and Brum...d'oh.

Well what would you call him? He has hardly played for us since signing; always seems to be injured. Sometimes players are unable to take the rigours of regular league football and he seems to be one of them. No matter how good he is if he cannot take it week in week out then get rid now.
