Doesn’t seem like sort of lad that’s happy to warm the bench. I’m sure there was an article about him when he was at molde walking into managers office asking to play as a 16 year old.

If he can’t get ahead of the likes of Shane Duffy at Brighton then don’t think he’s going to be displacing Koulibaly or whoever they spend the millions on if he leaves

My fault for doing it but reading the Telegraph is actually annoying. Talk in there about bids for Vik from upwardly mobile championship clubs. Is that not what we are with how close we came and our incremental progression?
Yes there are clubs in the league with more money than us but nothing is won in the bank and while ita a good indicator if it was simply the case that money = success Man Utd would not be doing so poorly.

Wish the local rag would talk us up a bit more and stop baiting the fans with headlines like 'actual tears' when reporting in a possible bid.

They've got nothing else to write about, which is amazing really, as they seem to have been conveniently "too busy" to cover the Wasps implosion.

"Too busy."

You'll get more accurate transfer info from here than that shit rag, don't take any notice of it

They care more about a London rugby team than the local football club

He's under 24 though so compensation is due though I thought that only applied domestically

edit - there is a FIFA compensation scheme that sets out a tariff but that would be much lower than €3m
Thought the compensation scheme was just in country, unless that has changed recently?

Watching Norway vs Sweden in UEFA Nations League. Ostigard vs Gyokeres although Gyo didn’t start and only came on in the 58th min as a sub. Sweden looks a very poor side and Gyo really hasn’t seem much of the ball. Ostigard looks quite good from the bits I’ve watched. As long as Gyo doesn’t make too strong an impression, that’ll do us well 😊.

We really do need to keep hold of Vik next season. Sweden have not qualified for the World Cup (so will get a rest, where others don't). His confidence is sky high, so I can see him having a great season next season, and his value will only go in one direction. Let's have him for another season, then get even more money than we would have. And, if the stars align, and we get in the PL we can ask for £30m/silly money if he wants out.

he played well when he came on , Sweden well beaten Haaland absolutely awesome for Norway but viktor did himself no harm
match was live on premier sports
I thought the Swedish goalie looked poor. Thought he could have done a little more for the first and third goals - at least dive instead of just watching the ball go in.

I recorded the goal from DAZN but can’t work out how to post the video so you’ll have to settle for a poor-quality still. Did well, put off a defender (Ostigård I think) and keeper and then swivelled and fired in after the keeper made a mistake. 815A96A9-A9F4-41A3-8EEC-3EF8087D0C5F.jpeg

Left footed goals? Not sure any of his Cov goals have been with his left.

Its worth a few minutes for me to go and check.

Edit: all with his right foot. There’s a couple where he shifted himself onto his right to finish. The only one he went for with his left was at Blackpool away and it hit him near enough on the tit.
