Apparently negotiated a 5 year deal with SL and they've slapped on an 80 million (euro) transfer clause. He's going to Portugalbe announced this week...
Yet another ITK!He's going to Portugalbe announced this week...
They'll both be on PL wages now too. Non-starter.Thank god Simon Gilbert isn’t leading the negotiation.
Those two players plus £10m would be a great deal - how much are you expecting us to get £25m at least?Thank god Simon Gilbert isn’t leading the negotiation.
Really surprising. The bottom half of that league is like non-league here. The players might be a bit better but the stadiums and attendances are so poor. He's going to Portugalbe announced this week...
Why not? He probably wants to be guaranteed first team football and could see it as a stepping stone to playing in Spain or Italy .Really surprising. The bottom half of that league is like non-league here. The players might be a bit better but the stadiums and attendances are so poor.
Surely if a PL side were interested, he wouldn’t go.
You only have to look at the players Sporting have developed over the years to see why it’s an exciting prospect for any young playerWhy not? He probably wants to be guaranteed first team football and could it as a stepping stone to playing in Spain or Italy .

He’s 25, not 21 - if he does minimum two years years there then he’s 27. Probably rules out most clubs paying a significant fee, and he’ll still have (as reported) 3 years left on his contract. You only have to look at the players Sporting have developed over the years to see why it’s an exciting prospect for any young player
Believe it or not but the world doesn’t revolve around the PL. At 27 he’ll still be in his prime too. He’s 25, not 21 - if he does minimum two years years there then he’s 27. Probably rules out most clubs paying a significant fee, and he’ll still have (as reported) 3 years left on his contract.
His stock is high now, why not cash his chips for a PL move now.
Unless there genuinely isn’t interest
It’s a good stepping stone to elite level football, Sporting are in the Europa League and if he scores a few in that then who’s to say a ‘bigger’ club wouldn’t be interestedHe’s 25, not 21 - if he does minimum two years years there then he’s 27. I reckon the only thing stopping Gyökeres going to Burnley would be GyökeresI would be very happy with this Burnley deal if it was true
17.5 million is the agreed transfer fee. (Again from the work place oracle)Apparently negotiated a 5 year deal with SL and they've slapped on an 80 million (euro) transfer clause.
(According to the oracle at work this morning)
It doesn’t but it’s objectively the best league where players can earn the most money, so it’s illogical to not move there if you have the chance.Believe it or not but the world doesn’t revolve around the PL. At 27 he’ll still be in his prime too.
No but I wouldn’t pay £6m for McNallly and £4m for Twine either. McNally moved for less than £2m this time last year and couldn’t get in the Burnley side. Twine was mainly a fringe player too. Those two players plus £10m would be a great deal - how much are you expecting us to get £25m at least?
Yet another ITK!
Let’s hope it kickstarts our rebuild if true.

People are forgetting as well, he’s not English - So staying in England might not be the be all and end all - In terms of lifestyle I’m choosing go live in Portugal over the UK any day of the week
When have we not been?So were reliant on one player leaving for transfer funds?
Are we skint?
They’re a PL side and McNally was in a team that got to the play-off final last season - he’s worth quite a bit more than 2m now - I’d imagine they’d accept 4-6m for him.No but I wouldn’t pay £6m for McNallly and £4m for Twine either. it’s only 6 months ago fans on this site were saying we should accept £4m-£5m for Hamer !
i think £19m or above is fair value for Vik. It’s potentially a game changer for our club, materially over paying then for the incoming players just wastes that opportunity.
No, the epitome of any top flight career is playing for Burnley away at BournemouthWhy not? He probably wants to be guaranteed first team football and could it as a stepping stone to playing in Spain or Italy .

Why would they be on premier league money when they were both signed after Burnley were religated and Burnley had shed all there big money earners? They'll both be on PL wages now too. Non-starter.
