So, we've signed a bloke with a top flight hairstyle.

Watching us v Exeter however, it struck me both teams' haircuts were a lot less flashy than those you get in the top flight - just close cropped and conventional.

Less cash in the lower leagues to preen? Or no fancy dans who want to show their style? Or old school managers who just want their players turned out smart, like?

Yeah, ultra smart for some managers and I believe that Martin Allen has insisted that this is the kit all his players must wear next season for Chesterfield.

Is it only on footballers that beards are appreciated nowadays, or is it a thing now?

Most Sportsmen I think, there is a thing though.
I struggle to get passed 4-5 days with the itching though made it to 9 recently.
All white mind completing the Uncle Albert look .
Quite like growing a beard because I'm too lazy to shave, but it tends to be banned!

I grew a beard a couple of times for the village pantomime but I was very strongly advised to shave it off as soon as the show was over

When I was a kid standout hairstyles were Bobby Charlton, Ralph Coates and Alan Gilzean....what happened to the popularity of the comb over?....These were top players.

i think all managers should dress like Kevin Nolan - then they be ready to come on at any time

New division, new hairstyles.

We're certainly moving up a league with the manicuring.

I've had my beard for over 30 years but I tend to prefer the "Wild man of Borneo" or "David Bellamy" looks :) With the onset of greyish white hairs, I seem to be able to pass for a reasonably authentic Santa at times too :emoji_santa:
