Were his stats similarly bad for West Brom, do you know?
You’d assume no because he scored 13 goals last year. Our shot creation hasn’t been good enough this year.

We build a lot of xG by using our possession to accumulate lots of shots. For example, 10 0.05 xG shots would equal 0.5 xG which would equal one ‘massive’ chance.

Back to BTA, he’s not really had the chances to score goals but equally, he seems to be the worst at being in goal scoring positions as Bassette, Simms and Wright have more xG than him by quite a distance.

No, he was better.

Haji is also benefitting here from playing as a winger which boosts his passing/touch stats vs a central striker.

Why is BTA so bad at aerial duels though? That sticks out like a sore thumb to me. He's 5'11, hardly a midget.

I remember at the start of October there were clowns on here claiming we'd do well to breakeven on him after this start.

Please note that isn't just against Cov strikers, that's against all strikers in the league. We have our next £20million player... (provided this injury isn't too bad)

I notice Haji often has aerial duals v fullbacks rather than CBs so that could be why his % is disproportionately higher.

Carlos Corberán, with respect to MR, is a much better coach and that was evident in both games v WBA last season.

This season, we just look tactically all over the place and that’s impacting individual performances as well as the team’s performances. Robins has to bear some responsibility for this too and this season our fans have been too busy blaming the coaching structure, Dr Roberts and AV being sacked. To reiterate, I believe that MR would’ve figured it out eventually but we’d definitely gone backwards from last season.

Good thing is he wasn’t on gas and air.
Any news on his injury?

And why the fuck has Clive started calling him Haaarji instead of Haji?
the video they did of them all pronouncing their names correctly - but basically it’s the American accent and how they generally say certain vowels in names.

Cos players keep on bumping into Wright and knocking him over and Clive's desperate to throw in "there was a bit of haji bargy"?
