Transfer Rumour Haji Wright (17 Viewers)

By any standards that's an impressive window with the possibility of a loan or two still to come.
There's a clear emphasis on signing players who would fit into a fast, mobile front-foot style of play and having spent a couple of seasons in this division it appears that's what MR has concluded will give us the best chance of competing with the best.
I for one think he's right.
A very exciting time to be a sky blue.

Honestly, his ability to field all of these questions from the offal interviewer and give normal answers without starting to question his own reality is a sign that the money has been well spent:

“How does it feel to get everything done?”
“Are you excited for the challenge ahead?”
“How much are you looking forward to getting started in training?”
Exactly SBT.

If we don't improve the interview questions, I see this happening with our next big signing:

“How does it feel to get everything done?” 'I'm excited to be a Sky Blue.'
“Are you excited for the challenge ahead?” 'Yes I am'
“How much are you looking forward to getting started in training?” 'Fuck this nonsense, I've clearly joined the wrong club...where's my fucking agent...I'm off.'

A world first but honestly would not 100% shock me.

We've got a big Yank on our side,
Wears the sky blue shirt with pride
He's big and strong and he's up for the fight
And he goes by the name of Haji Wright!
Saw this on twitter

Haji's on a trip
He comes from U.S.A.
Took a plane from Turkey;
Once he'd seen us play
He really wants to;
Score goals in Sky Blue
Haji's our American Boy
American Boy

* 'wants' could become loves

Robins did say earlier today we are still 4 players short of the amount of players we had last season, actually now 3 with Wright confirmed. So at the minimum we need another 3. I guess the main thing is the overall quality of the squad is on another level compared to last season.

I'm wondering if Egohsa and Obiku performing well in preseason has altered Robins thinking in the amount of players we need to bring in.

I wonder how Matty Godden is feeling right now, hopefully it will spur him on to get a couple of goals on Sunday.

He will feel fine. He’s 32 and in a top 6 championship squad - if someone had said that when he was 22 in 10 years that’s where he’d be he would have laughed

No chance - they are not going to figure this season.

Gentleman’s bet
Obikwu will play more minutes and be on the bench for more games than Tavares

That’s a great bet that. Tavares is shite and won’t be on the bench at all

This has been an incredible window, only a CB now and we are good to go! Anything in the loan market would be a bonus. I have confidence we're in for a good season and going to be in the fight for playoffs.

Woke up this morning feeling fine

Pessure now swiches to the management team to deliver a top 6 finish.
The owner has delivered and quite rightly will expect results.
Definitely and quite rightly but even if we have a bit of a shocker of a season and end midtable / lower half. He's got plenty of goodwill in the bank.
