Maybe the wrong terminology was used but we all understand the point being made and it ties in with comments by Robins about some of the new lads being shy and quiet. Will need time to settle and will also need support in the meantime
Why have we failed on this this summer though? It’s been such a strong point of our recruitment. Even players that don’t make the grade are generally seen as decent outgoing committed types. So weird to bring in so many and have so few characters this time.
I always believed character was looked into as part of the recruitment process. Strachan used to say it was one of the most important criteria’s he was looking for in a player.Agree mate. Very strange. They all come across as decent lads though which is the main thing. Hopefully all willing to learn and improve. Would prefer that than a Charlie big bollocks who thinks they’re great then doesn’t deliver
