Like I said. He appeared child like. The table I was on felt the same.
My point is if he is a lad lacking an ego or arrogance then I can understand a fragile mentality on the pitch.

Maybe the wrong terminology was used but we all understand the point being made and it ties in with comments by Robins about some of the new lads being shy and quiet. Will need time to settle and will also need support in the meantime

Why have we failed on this this summer though? It’s been such a strong point of our recruitment. Even players that don’t make the grade are generally seen as decent outgoing committed types. So weird to bring in so many and have so few characters this time.
Agree mate. Very strange. They all come across as decent lads though which is the main thing. Hopefully all willing to learn and improve. Would prefer that than a Charlie big bollocks who thinks they’re great then doesn’t deliver
I always believed character was looked into as part of the recruitment process. Strachan used to say it was one of the most important criteria’s he was looking for in a player.
Sure it is but maybe we’ve gone down the willing to learn and improve route ahead of being loud. As the new lads settle in and get more confident im sure more will step up. Most are quite young.

To be honest if the problem is that Wright is introverted and might take a bit longer to bring out of his shell then that's fine and better than him just being incapable.

So nearly all the new signings are introverts now? What about Lati and Kitchen and Thomas? They don't seem like that at all to me.
