Mixture of both. Was having a chat on FB on the fans forum, and was saying He will go in the summer without question but if he keeps us up and we get a decent fee then its a brilliant piece of business for the future of the club. As much as we want him to stay he is a level above and needs to progress quickly. Football is a 15 year career for these guys.
A mate of mine pointed out that unless you're top 4 prem, you're buying for profit.
People then get upset that we are labled a "selling club"
I was saying the other day about how our record scorer, Clarrie Bourton will never be beaten. Players far more nomadic these days because of the cash.
What will constitute a club legend for teams of our stature these days? Length of service or what they achieve whilst here?
Mixture of both.
I can't see how you can be a club legend if you only stay one season with a club.
Tough one.
Personally I have more 'affection' towards Speedie, Gallacher, Dublin & Huckerby over Keane, who was here for one season.
But then, look at Kante & Leicester... He was there for one season, and I am sure he has legendary status.

And our moronic fans booed Dublin, who kept us in the Premier League for a number of seasons (and stayed here a lot longer than Kante at Leicester)
I thought he refused to play, and forced the issue, am I wrong?I was there. There was no nuance to it... it was simply because he went to Villa.
(Which was an absolute heartbreak and kick in the teeth, i won't deny).

George Hudson, Ian Gibson, Tommy Hutchison Cyrille Regis. no-one else anyway near.
Agreed. So what defines a legend?
Tbf that was more due to the way he left I think
Dublin. All day long. George Curtis too.George Hudson, Ian Gibson, Tommy Hutchison Cyrille Regis. no-one else anyway near.

He was banned from playing against Luton by the club
Nope he refused to play
Urban myth.

I'm sure at the time wee gordon said it, but it was a long time ago so I may be mistaken but he did get lawyers involved to try and push a move as I remember
Long story can’t be arsed to tell it on here but our glorious chairman Bryan Richardson shafted him or tried to.I thought he refused to play, and forced the issue, am I wrong?
No he wasn't
I have nothing but love for Dion and didn't boo him any time he played against us but the reason why some people did is that he refused to play for us whilst under contract
Obviously others did because they are fecking idiots
