Palmer hasn’t the capability to cover the range of ground Allen has. Of course he’s more skilful but needs the ball to feet

Hopefully Vik will stay until the end of the season. I would like to see what Tavares can do, but he never gets a look in.Yeah, if Robins was given the funds I’d back him to find those players. Though maybe not in the Jan window, so I do think a Jan sale might scupper us. But generally if we sold Vik for an eight figure sum and gave most of it to Robins I’d back him to fill out the squad. I really don’t think we’ll find another Vik though. So may have to reconfigure the style a bit. A younger Godden with pace (potentially Walker but looking less likely) being fed by O’Hare and Palmer could be interesting. Unless we can find another prolific battering ram.

It’s all about how much a manager trusts the player. He knows Allen will follow instructions and do what’s best for the team. I don’t know why people are struggling to grasp this lolI agree , Robins likes Allen, I don't see how people can't see thatthe lad was captain a couple weeks ago

Out of interest, when is Palmer going to be fully fit? He's been in the squad (start, sub used or sub unused) in 19 of a possible 20 games in all competitions this season.
