I admire your faith in him! I just think city fans massively over rate him. Each club had a vote for team of the year (a journalist I think) and they voted for Alex Scott. I’d have had Norwood and Cullen personally and Hamer wouldn’t even be in my top 5 central midfielders.

There will be greater interest in Scott from the premier league but city fans are insistent he isn’t as good as Hamer despite knowing very little about him. He will go on to have a career that blows Hamer’s out the water no doubt.

I admire the support it’s great but I don’t think its accurate. On a side note, I listened to a twitter space about the game and their take was ‘Hamer was world class’ and the ‘only negative was vik’. Takes like that confirm there is an element of bias in our fans views of Hamer for some reason.

I actually disagree with this completely, Scott has a higher potential ceiling sure , hence his price tag due to age .. but hamer has been far better this season ..

Hamer is a much better player than Scott right now. The reason Scott is likely to command a higher fee is a combination of being English, being younger and having more potential to improve. Hamer could well be already at his peak!
