one source of data but he doesn’t feature at all here. If you also go to breaking the lines.com and look at central midfield, he does pop up there but overall the ranking midfielder is Ryan Yates.

There’s more consistent CMs out there then Hamer at this moment in time and that’s my point.View attachment 25103View attachment 25103View attachment 25104View attachment 25105View attachment 25106View attachment 25103View attachment 25104View attachment 25105View attachment 25106View attachment 25103View attachment 25104View attachment 25105View attachment 25106
He doesn't feature there at all because the data is taken from 2019, before he signed for us and when Leeds were still in the Championship...

Romaine Sawyers could be a shout if a replacement is required, very good box to box midfielder with an eye for a pass, think he’s possibly surplus at the baggies.
Thought he looked great when he was at Walsall. I expect his wages would be too steep for us?

That makes sense, seen this before and Sheaf appears on numerous times on this list 👀

proving his doubters wrong as he has done all season, hopefully the dickheads around me stop moaning when he does anything at all

Makes all the people saying Jamie Allen runs around like a headless chicken and does nothing look pretty foolish.

Brentford to sign Keane Potter for £16m plus significant add on’s and some fans still think Hamer’s value is circa £5m 😂😂😂

I’m not suggesting they are similar players or even that Hamer is as good but it shows that premier clubs will pay more money than some of our fans expect. The Spence fee will also prove this.

Both of those players are 21, Hamer is 25, no way is he going for close to what they will.

this is our 3rd year in this league, when we got promoted people were delighted to get more money coming in c £7.5m a year, we have been getting that ever since, plus record numbers of s/t and attendances, surely we can put some decent dosh together by now?

er no as the wage bill escalates and therefore the cost of staying competitive gets worse

20k average attendance is only about £4.5m in ticket revenue over a season. Wages alone are high teens, I’d imagine we’re not close to breaking even.

Question really is are we getting bang for our Buck? We’ll see after this window I guess. We’ve moved on a fair amount of dead wood, still a bit to go IMO, if we can replace quantity with quality we’ll be OK, otherwise we need to look at funding.

I've no idea where he's pulled that Key Passes stat from, or how it's calculated.
Jamie Allen averages 0.8 key passes per game (Whoscored) which is just scraping joint 100th in the league. He's far from a creative force.

Appreciate the effort that has gone in to that but quite a bit of it looks seriously flawed.

In truth I haven't investigated it any further. If you've done further research and its proved to be bollocks, fair enough.

Made me laugh that it said Sheaf would be more suited to Swansea because of their ability to keep the ball and play a lot of passes, ignoring the fact that the 2 highest on the metric for passes were both Sheaf and Hamer…

That doesn't make sense either... Matt Grimes averages 98.5 Passes per Game, miles more than anyone else in the league, yet he's not made the graphic even? Has he filtered it to just players that have come out top in the other metrics?
In what world is Aerial Duels an important metric for a CM too &, more to the point, how has he got Brennan Johnson in there as a CM??

Like you said, appreciate the effort, but it’s completely incorrect
