He’s more similar to Gus than Cal thoughHe can't be Hamer and O'Hare though.
He wasn’t on the pitch when we scored the winner.I think we are in danger of under estimating Torp. Quality player in need of game time and match fitness. Last night he instigated the move that produced the winner. His movement is very good but at the moment we are playing so disjointedly and players are not recognising his movement. It was there last night on so many occasions where he is demanding the ball in pockets of space but going unoticed by the likes of CB's and Allen in particular, who runs around and enables very little.
I thought it was Torp. Anyways still stick to what I said...He wasn’t on the pitch when we scored the winner.
For those rambling on about needing one still, look at what is right in front of you. Jack Rudoni is the Hamer replacement we’ve been calling out for, energy, good passer, up and down work rate, good tackler, eye for goal. We need a solid number 6 in now as I think Sheaf can play as a hybrid 6/8 and Rudoni as the 8/10 then with someone behind them mopping up our midfield will be quality
By "instigated the move that produced the winner" I take it he did that by walking off the pitch and taking a seat on the bench.I think we are in danger of under estimating Torp. Generally agree with this although Rudoni doesn't have Hamer's passing ability or vision. Not sure he can thread a pass like Palmer did last night for instance. For those rambling on about needing one still, look at what is right in front of you. O'Hamer? He can't be Hamer and O'Hare though.
I was thinking the same, but if he is going to play the 8 role, we need a new 10.For those rambling on about needing one still, look at what is right in front of you. We also will miss the obligatory yellow card, and possible 3 reds per season. One of the aspects missing from our current midfield options that Hamer did bring was drive.
That ability to run quickly with the ball and transition us at pace from defending to counter attacking from the centre of midfield.
He enabled it by getting substituted. He’s always one step ahead, thinking outside of the box etc etc.He wasn’t on the pitch when we scored the winner.
I always wonder what people say when they say Hamer replacement or any players name with replacement? Do they mean a quality player in their position or do they expect a clone or a replica?
I always think you should judge the new player on their abilities rather than compare them directly with the old player.
Someone with similar attributes and strengths.I always wonder what people say when they say Hamer replacement or any players name with replacement? Do they mean a quality player in their position or do they expect a clone or a replica?

O'Hare's teeth are more similar to a horse. He’s more similar to Gus than Cal though
Was Kitching the Hamer replacement? We also will miss the obligatory yellow card, and possible 3 reds per season.
Would have him back in heart beat though obviously!
Someone with similar attributes and strengths.
Rather than someone with different attributes and having to change your style of play away from something that was working.
He is more of a refit...Was Kitching the Hamer replacement?
But that is why the dynamics of teams are always shifting because you can't get exact replacements and it's hard to even get similar at the right level and within a certain budget.
Also sides can't play the same 11 week in week out, so managers have to be far more open minded than fans.
Why is this only the case for Hamer? No one is complaining we haven’t replaced Vik or O’Hare because we have.
I think Simms and Haji both have different shades of Gyokeres in their game, Haji has the run out wide with the ball and hit the line, cut in. Simms has the hold up recieving the ball back to goal bustling defenders and getting a shot offBut neither replacement is like for like. This is I think the very point being made.
Simms isn’t a similar player to Vik is he.

Rudoni is not a Hamer replacement, unfortunately we have no one that tracks back like Gus.For those rambling on about needing one still, look at what is right in front of you.
