my tone is based on what I hear. as I’ve said, my opinion is my opinion. I’ll be wrong at times and other times I’ll be right. my issue at the minute is we had a great season. King came in at the perfect time. He hasn’t been dealt with a bad hand yet. no pressure is coming onto him, cracks are showing behind the scenes. If the same issues were occurring under a sisu regime there would be uproar. that’s my thoughts. others will disagree. That’s what forums like this are all about after all?

Yeah but to be brutally honest we aren't talking about a dream team behind the scenes. It wasn't a well oiled machine that was dynamic and pushing revenue streams it's a cobbled together staff from the darkest Sisu days. Needs a good refresh in most people's opinion.

Your quote about yourself "I’ll be wrong at times and other times I’ll be right" must also stand for Doug. Time will tell but for me you are acting suspiciously like you have a personal grudge.

Your obsession with King is scary. And how everything he does is the wrong thing according to your “sources”. Pathetic

no obsession. just what I hear doesn’t sound great for the club. you might disagree. let’s see where we are in a few months.

I’ve been in Dawkins company a few times. I wouldn’t judge him based on Twitter. regardless what people think of him.
Every club will have people who get snippets of info. city being no exception. Nowadays with WhatsApp groups, news soon spreads. Talk of city is widely discussed in groups.

So you arent a lying, attention seeking piece of crap in real life, that's something at least I guess (but talking about yourself in the 3rd person ain't a good look mate ;) )

difference is, I don’t own a football club. No personal grudge but I love our club after years of shit off the pitch I would hope the new era would start with no bumps and we would be talking about players coming in, new kit etc… fact we are waiting on the Vik sale shows nothing much has changed

But could he be micromanaging because he has no faith in the people around him?

And if that is the case, it's OK saying get rid of them but we all know these things take time.

That may not be the case, he might just be a control freak, but I'm not sure anyone knows for sure as the rumours about him doing the rounds are definitely emanating from disgruntled employees.

Absolutely, and what I heard came from a disgruntled employee, so big pinch of salt for me.

It's fair to say he's going for the with him or against him approach. It'll be fine if he gets enough new staff to go with him... the journey looks vaguely interesting at least!

I have heard he is a complete control freak and micro manages everything. He has already made enemies across the club and has pissed off some key corporate partners who have walked away.

That's what I've been told. I have no agenda against DK tbh and think he has taken some positive steps so I'll reserve judgement.

That said, I'm guessing no shirt sales before the season starts (I've no idea on the lead time once a deal has been agreed so just speculating), which is not a good look for a club making a big deal about maximising revenues

Yeah but quite a lot has changed, investment in Ryton, new pitch for two. Due to making the playoffs we are a few weeks behind most in the league. Relax

There is a going rate though, there will be an average for the league then you look at where you are in the range. The deals with XL Motors and Boylesport are coming to an end, it would be madness to re-up on the same terms seeing as last season saw us in the play-offs and our stature raise accordingly.
I repeat the
A have a full time CEO and full time Commercial Director. How is it the owners fault that we don’t have a new sponsor lined up ???
Because DK pitched the amount he expected too high! He was told but this " we are worth more" has put us where we are. It might change of course when we get some signings

Gren take note!

decent training ground and new pitch shouldn’t be praised, that should be standard at any club in the championship. yes happy with the improvement but essentially what happens on the pitch is what matters. Aslong as we get that right, I’ll take it. just hope his ego doesn’t impact robins. We all know how stubborn robins can be

That's better, perhaps take that tone in the first place and it you won't come across like it's a personal grudge.

As for the pitch and training ground.. yeah should be a prerequisite but it certainly wasn't under SISU. They bordered on negligent in recent years. It's not that long ago we had to rely on kindness of a wealthy fan to pony up for improvements to Ryton. You have to give King some credit in sorting that the moment the season ended, massive improvement and shows he knows what is required.

The challenge is that Doug may not be a football man but neither are many in the premier league. He is a businessman and many successful businessmen don’t do it by being popular. Let’s see where we are on august 6. If mr is happy, I will be

In negotiation you can moonshot your first quotes and come down but you can't do it the other way round. I'm glad he isn't underselling the club. Plenty of time to sort it out.

As for missing revenue the Shirts will sell just fine. Massive fuss over very little.
