I really can't see him not. The club have used him so prominently in Portugal footage and tweets, they surely know he's signed/about to sign.

Tbh my perception is I dont think I've seen a happier footballer. He brings a positive energy vibe and is so engaged with the fans.

On the other side I think he will be favorite where ever he gos.

My gut feeling is he already signed and the club are actually just holding on to it to sell more kits. They've been announcing the big new deals along with some other event recently, like the MR/AV contracts during the playoffs.

Well it wasn't really news was it? But yes, I should think we'll have the sponsor, kit and Hamer contract () tomorrow if nothing today!

There's a lot of emotion running high on here regarding the (unknown) possibility of Hamer leaving. But although he's an extremely high quality player, I think we have relied incredibly heavily on him and Vik, especially for goals and assists. If both leave, and there's investment, there is always the opportunity to become a more well round side. I think you have to add quality and depth. Hamer scored 11 goals, the rest of that box midfield 4 chipped in another 11/12. I think it would be reasonable to hope you could get 4 players in there scoring 5 each, with better returns from the CAM's. Same for assists, his 10 compared to the 8 from the rest of the box 4. You'd hope the midfield 4 could combine to reach these numbers, with possibly a little more from the wing-backs. Overall this just makes more sense anyway, as you don't want to be relying on one player so heavily that you're struggling to create if they pick up an injury. Even if he stays, I'd still want to see more from the rest of the midfield. O'hare coming back will surely only help too.

If he hasn’t signed a new deal/is close to signing one then it’s an incredibly ill-advised, or at best naive, social media strategy. The media team can see the speculation they’re causing, would be incredibly stupid to be doing that in the lead up to disappointment.

I'm only hoping that some of the social media posts are easter eggs. The one yesterday with Gus's cone, with 2 mannequin's in the background, him constantly posing with the 2 fingers. I hope they're subtle hints at a 2 year deal.

I'm they'd want to build up interest in it, and definitely want him to be a part of any kit reveal. I think they know how much the fanbase love Gus and how much him staying would have an impact upon us fans. Plus think of the shirt sales, especially kids with Hamer 38 if people know he'll be here (I realise that he could in theory sign and still leave).

Any announcement they did, I'm sure they'd want media to go alongside it and I'm almost certain they'd want that to include some shots at the CBS or Ryton. I would find it highly amusing if they included the fixed window in any announcement
