As a pair there isnt even an argument. Shame our rebuild wont be built around the pair of them.yeh, the only thing for certain is that Sheaf and Hamer are the best 2 and arguably the best 2 in the division.
No just polite, likes to add to a normal debate and someone who is friends with a premiership player and basically knows how a lot of this works. Sorry if you were offended by a normal point raisedNot sure if you're just naive, clueless or both.
Yep, Middlesbrough & Sunderland.huddersfield and Luton got in the play offs last year, Barnsley the year before - the normal is that there is room for 1 or 2 teams to over perform
Huddersfield were still receiving parachute payments. Luton and Barnsley didn’t make the final those years - yes you always get 1 team in there but the final is very rarely two teams like us and Lutonhuddersfield and Luton got in the play offs last year, Barnsley the year before - the normal is that there is room for 1 or 2 teams to over perform
Surely the timer in the gym was just a scoreboard to count the number of reps done by a certain player? (In this case, #38)What I don’t understand is all the little clues in the Coventry videos alude to that he has signed already and they’ve been waiting to release to media. For that to have not happened seems very weird to have had the timer in the gym and then the cone on the field.
£15m is good money and great for a rebuild, such a shame we’ve missed out on Jason Knight as he would have been ideal

Why on earth would you think they haven't planned for that eventuality? That would be absurdly stupid.
Wouldn’t be much of a ‘rebuild’ if we keep the star players. The cost of losing the playoffs was the potential loss our two superstars. As a pair there isnt even an argument. Shame our rebuild wont be built around the pair of them.
The fact is at all football clubs there is a natural progression of players. This summer was/is a big one as we are signing players & building the foundation and spine of our side for the next several seasons. So it is crucial we get it right and so far I think these signings look that way.
We all become very emotional about players and how they are "going to be really difficult to replace". I remember the year we won L1, Liam Walsh was "irreplaceable", yet we did it with Hamer.
Gyokeres we have turned into a £20m player and now have a younger striker who again can be developed by Robins to be the next big asset and fans favourite.
With Hamer, of course he would be a big big loss but there are players out there who we might not know about (like Hamer) who can be the next assets.
Just got to trust in our coaching staff & recruitment team to do their jobs.
We all took it mean contract but it just could have been to do with fitness I suppose. What I don’t understand is all the little clues in the Coventry videos alude to that he has signed already and they’ve been waiting to release to media. Yes, that's a more blunt way to put itTHERES NO CLUES! You’re all seeing things because you want Hamer news. Stop being mental.
Nailed it. I think this off season has us all delirious, I still live in hope though!THERES NO CLUES! You’re all seeing things because you want Hamer news. Stop being mental.
Robins had expected to lose Hamer last summer & so definitely had an idea of a replacement then.I agree with Fernando, I really don't see us being prepared to sell Hamer.
Equally, I see Hamer extremely difficult to replace. Possibly more challenging than Vik.
I’m not offended at all.No just polite, likes to add to a normal debate and someone who is friends with a premiership player and basically knows how a lot of this works. Sorry if you were offended by a normal point raised
Robbie Keane didn’t demand to leave. If the club sell Hamer, it has cock all to do with the club's ambition and everything to do with the player's intent. Hamer can sign for a new club in January and CCFC risk losing a huge transfer fee.
Hamer can earn a significant amount more at Burnley and get a signing-on fee and play in the PL, so it makes perfect sense for him.
As for replacements, Cov have long been linked with Louie Sibley from Derby. He might not be the actual replacement but the club is clearly actively scouting.
A couple of weeks ago, I was more confident that Hamer would stay. Now, I am confident he will leave. No different from when Robbie Keane demanded to leave
How could the club stand in the way of him playing for the club he'd always supported?Robbie Keane didn’t demand to leave.
If hes not at Forest Green it means hes gone, wont want him getting injured. Its gone too quiet on him so the writing is on the wall. As long as the money goes back in to the squad then its sound.
I mean, to be fair, I've met a few agents and I'm pretty sure some would try and talk their clients out of signing contracts as they can earn better money elsewhere (for both of them).I’m not offended at all.
I just can’t believe that someone would actually think that Hamer is being prevented from a signing a new contract against his wishes because of his agent, or that agents are hired and retained by players despite working to against their wishes and seemingly holding them to ransom so they can make money.
Yeah but they're also hired by the player, it's not like a player is going to be desperate to sign a contract for a certain club but is being prevented from doing so by their agent and effectively have little to no free will. Agents are hired by the players to get the best deal for them and make them more money.I mean, to be fair, I've met a few agents and I'm pretty sure some would try and talk their clients out of signing contracts as they can earn better money elsewhere (for both of them).
Richardson/McGinnity demanded he left and that’s from the horses mouth. How could the club stand in the way of him playing for the club he'd always supported?
he's injured though ain't he?Yeah and watch this thread if he's not in the squad tonight.
Can we replace everyone with simmsWe've replaced Gyokeres with Simms. Are you suggesting we wouldn't do the same for Hamer?
he's not been full training has heBeen training in Portugal okay.
He's been doing a lot of gym workhe's not been full training has he
It's just repeating what was said on here and who knows if that was true.Twitter via at least two apparently ITK’s saying he’s not being offered what he thinks he deserves. And that is in the area of £20k pw.
