Nobody knows what he has asked for, what we have offered. Nobody knows if he actually wants to stay, just perception and rumour.

We have no idea what Doug has planned in investment or what/who is lined up.

He came in January and we signed players on loan, we have already signed a player who is likely to start at LWB. We have only officially lost loan players from our starting side at the end of last season.

Everybody just relax, take a breath and start arguing in September when King has sold everything back to SISU and pocketed the money from Vik.

To be fair, he can love the club but also feel he's not being offered what he feels he's worth. The two aren't really mutually exclusive.

Ultimately it's a short career and therefore players fundamentally have the right to milk it for all it's worth.

just spoke to one of the scouts. Vik almost certainly going. doesn’t sound likely any of the loans will be returning and regarding Hamer he was made aware that the club are preparing for worse case scenario.

going by that. The club are certainly taking a stance on wage structure. I would guess Mcnally would be above our wage constraints as is a new contract for Gus.

Everyone assumed Vik and Gus were leaving until rumours started that Gus might be tempted to stay for the right money and we’ve got no way of knowing if there’s any truth to that.

I would be disappointed if we couldn’t convince one of the loans back though. They all had good spells here so should be tempting for them and their club and would help with continuity when we’ve got quite a high turnover of players, particularly in defence.

What issues are there. Its concenring we dont have a budget in place for transfers midway through the window.

And if he loved the club so much I'm sure he could make do with £15k. Or even £10k. I'm sure most people who love the club would be over the moon to take £5k pw.

It all depends on what he could get elsewhere. If he could get £25-30k somewhere else, but is willing to settle for £20k to stay here, then he's showing a desire to stay and willingness to compromise his earning ability.

To say "well why not take £18k then?" would, for me, lead to "fuck you then, I'll take the extra money elsewhere ta."
