Anyone got a spare ticket for Grimsby tomorrow? Was going to buy this morning but then they took them off sale and aren't going to be selling on the day.

Use the old excuse to a steward of "my wife bought tickets for my birthday in the home end even though I'm a cov fan, any chance you could let me in the away end?" That's worked many a time for me and @Adge

To be fair what are they going to do? Ask you to name a minimum of 6 Grimsby town players to let you in? Considering the shambles they've caused so far I don't think they'd be capable of sniffing out the Cov fans.

Not much they can do if people are clever about it. I don't know what ticketing system they use but if they get loads of sudden orders from "new" supporters it will look a bit suspect.

I don't know what they were thinking. It's as if they thought that we don't have the brain cells to go in the home end instead, therefore causing more trouble if we score and some celebrate.

Is there pay on the gate for home fans? If so just rock up and pay on the gate!
And is a load of city fans get into the home end, and it kicks off, the old bill have nobody to blame but themselves for trying to save themselves work by limiting numbers!

I would imagine they just look for CV postcodes, probably depends how bothered ticketing Staff are,
rest assured any obvious Cov fans in the home ends will soon be escorted into the seats in our end

Why not all Cov fans wear a rose in their lapels to have a secret identity. You can then huddle together and circle the wagons. Simple.

If there's a decent number in the home end I would think if a steward / policeman was approached they'd do the sensible thing and move you all to the away end. One or two fans they might kick out but they won't want to risk kicking out hundreds.

When we played there last time I was in the home end. I chose the stand with the water behind my back. When we scored I celebrated like a lunatic as usual. I would recommend going for that stand.
