everyone dessicated with higgs are scum
Yep truth hurts
Ann and PKWH have successfully abandoned ccfc so people can play the blame game as long as they like but all ccc and higgs are doing is grinning like cheshire cats at having rid themselves of dealing with sisu.
The new stadium plan has proved a massive success. It was only ever a PR ploy but it just goes to show how with a bit of spin you don't need to do boring things like buy land and put in a planning application and well over a year later some people will still believe it.
sisu have put a financial ring fence round CCFC and are not going to incur a penny more on ccfc . Whether joy is struggling herself isn't clear but her distressing of acl very nearly worked yet even with wasps getting an absolute steal sisu couldn't raise the funds for a serious rival bid. Apparently the council house is still ringing with laughter at the pathetic document submitted by sisu.
For anyone with ears, Nicky on Monday was very clear that wasps own acl so that's that and they will not buy ccfc. Won't stop some on hear claiming they will but some people are already fools and don't need to be fooled by anyone else.
Only thing to bring a smile to the face this week was hearing the gossip after the Trust meeting. Old Bouncer Brown, Rodge the Dodge and Jan the Man aka the Inner Sanctum are distrort they haven't been invited to the ccfc Board meeting. What has all that fence sitting and arse licking been for? No wonder the poor saps are so besotted with wasps
I really don't follow what you are banging on about here?

Has Paul been reincarnated?
Mr M?
Don't think its him. His posting history has been very brief and also very contradictory.

The first people to blame are the council in all this, they are in it so deep they're drowning. Only the council as freeholder of the Ricoh could have increased the length of the lease, not ACL or the Higgs. Wasps are unlikely to have made contact with ACL about the sale of their business and as far as I know contacted the council first as shareholders and freeholders. Now whilst the Higgs were shareholders if you're Wasps why would you need to contact them in the early stages? Much easier to get the council on board making promises to regenerate the surrounding area and secure their shares, a longer lease etc. Then once Wasps have all but bought the council shares (can't do the deal without first telling the Higgs) one of the two parties, and I suspect (and it is only my guess/opinion*) it was the council approach the Higgs. They say that they're thinking of selling to Wasps who by the way are saying all the right things regarding Ricoh devlopment.
At that point we're still either in Northampton or have returned temporarily still spouting the new stadium plan and that we don't want the share (Joy said she woulldn't interfere with the deal even after the sale was announced) and it makes the council/Wasps job much easier as a result. If we needed the Higgs share as we obviously did Sisu shouldn't have been making dismissive statements about it. The Higgs have been looking to sell, we're saying we don't want it and there's now an offer on the table. Wasps who obviously wanted 100%, in an attempt to seal the deal add in sweetners (name a stand and money from the seat sales) and apparently say that the offer is unconditional. That combined with the council wanting to sell to Wasps may have tipped them over the edge. Given the Higgs association with coventry and our club I can't imagine it was an easy decision. Even Grendel who is hardly a fan of PWKH said that he sounded relieved that it was all over when he was interviewed on CWR. He wouldn't even have been one of the ones making the decision would he, as he's not a trustee. Why we never got our act together before it was too late I guess we'll never know.

You appear to suggest that the catalyst for all this was Wasps offering to buy a longer lease, am I reading that correctly?

Those are the lyrics to All Around the World, you chancer.
As I don't know who offered or demanded the extended lease I can't really say that. However the only people who could extend the lease were the council, not ACL, Wasps, the Higgs, Santa, the Tooth Fairy etc.
on that The
All of this is true.
Except who are the first to blame maybe that is. SISU are to blame on how the lack of negotiations ended up with nobody talking. Always saying that they wanted more than was on offer each time that there was a new offer made. Constant talk of a new stadium instead of trying to build bridges. Constant litigation and threats of litigation even when everyone could see that it wasn't going to work. Veiled threats against CCC councilors. The threat of our club never coming home if they never got their own way.
And then we get to your bit about CCC.
And I don't give a fuck about their legal teams reading this. All of the shit that has gone on is well documented.
But wasn't the road map plan thought up by SISU made up with a 125 year lease? And what is the difference between a 125 year lease and a 250 year lease? Both too long to make a difference to our football club and the stadium has a lifespan of about 100 years.
I agree that getting the HIggs share at the formula price should have been job number 1 when Sisu came in, and have said so many times before. I have also said that we were liable to be left homeless in the event that ACL got a new tenant in. But as to the mechanics of the sale to Wasps only the council could have extended the lease and have been hypocritical saying moving sports teams is wrong whillst encouraging that very thing. Once we had 50% of ACL then we should have started talking about extending the lease with the council.
