No, they seem to be too busy posting other positive stories. Latest is that TM is planning for the future on a relaid pitch and trying to keep 3 good loan players on a season long deal. Hardly demoralising or destabilising. Their evil Plan seems to be faltering.
So the local journalists investigative journalism is effectively reading notes from the SCG? Really? So did the original story come from there?
Christ - it's hardly Bernstein and Woodward is it?
They posted one today, sore losers by the looks of it. Not sure how though as it is the weekend.
Make the most of these threads, no doubt the match thread tomorrow will be nowhere near as busyEverybody will be busy with tax returns and other stuff like counting sheep to post about the match.
This again, It surely can't be a surprise to you that when someone posts inflammatory bullshit on the internet others argue with them (especially as you are doing it now)? It says absolutely nothing about peoples feelings regarding the matches, if Grendel (and to a lesser extent you) tried to wind up people in the match threads they would be extra long too (though they often are 25 pages)

No they wouldn't - most on here are an endangered species on match days.
If I posted a thread "CET headline shows record revenues for wasps" they'd be all over that though.
Chance they might be at the game and are not sad enough to sit on their phone posting on SBT?
Because the meeting which has taken place between RBC & CCFC was very recent, on an undisclosed date in March therefore probably after the last SCG meeting on 5th March but definitely after the last FOI responses from RBC sometime after Jan 21st .

TF had been very open at a recent Stadium Advisory Group meeting, and provided clear insights regarding potential stadium site work – including dialogue with Rugby Borough

Don't people talk about the game when they get back then? Player ratings etc?
Even Italia and Grendel talk about the footy!
Yes, but also some people like to go for a few beers and make a day of it and the last thing on my mind when out after a win (sadly to rare) is rushing home to post on SBT when pissed. we've all seen the drunk threads, haven't we?
I agree. I was rarely ever posting on match day when I used to go. Last thing on my mind.

But you used to post about who you thought played well, who had a shocker and the actual game didn't you either when you got back or the day after when at work?
I can't believe this thread still going, bloody fantastic and a credit to all who have been involved

I had a season ticket for 8 years in a row, went away most weeks and yet didn't even have an account here (I dont think) I got my football talk at the game/afterwards with the people I went with and then with friends during the week. There are 2 things that encourage me to post on forums someone needing help with something that I know about (not relevant here but is the majority of my posting on avforums or moneysavingexpert) or people posting something I very strongly disagree with, I'm getting better not responding to inflammatory nonsense especially after realising which parts of it are just trolling and upon realising the futility of trying to reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into. I also post when I'm excited or concerned about something, thats pretty much been restricted to concern unfortunately since the big Crewe game. I also only post about things I understand, I'd never dream of ranking players out of 10 after a match, I'm not in the slightest bit qualfied to make a reasonable attempt at that (even if I were going which I'm not) but I sure as hell know I could run a football club better than sisu.
I think you miss the point, you didn't come on here if it was running and just talk about politics and not football.
Plenty of city fans don't bother with forums etc full stop, I am talking about just coming on to talk about sisu or the council and nothing about actual football.
Or you could talk about both? Football matches are still happening... It isn't hard to differentiateDo you not see the effect SISU have had on the football? Why wouldn't people talk about them? You can't mention the football without talking about them, it all comes down to them. It's that simple.

I don't miss the point I just don't agree with your analysis of the situation, the fact that some people post much more about the council, sisu, off the field issues doesn't in anyway suggest how much they care about the club or that they have no interest in the football.
I generally read most match threads as they happen but I comment very rarely as I don't have anything of value or interest to add, also if everyone posted woowhoo or shit at each goal the threads would be unreadable, I don't understand tactics or player ability well enough to argue that the manager is doing it wrong, I do understand finances, interest, shares, investing well enough to know that sisu aren't building a stadium though so when someone posts something I disagree with I'm much more likely to end up in a debate about a new stadium. There is also the case that our position in the league table imo has much more to do with the off the field issues than with player selection/tactics and I feel that way despite the fact things have improved under mowbury, I'm not going to debate this point though because I havn't been to any games and I don't have the football knowledge to debate.
There is also the case that if you see someone posting alot during the week but not during games that suggests to me that they have internet access at work and are busy on weekends with their family.
When it comes down to it for me personally though if people stopped posting inflammatory nonsence my posts would drop massively, I don't even like the telegraph and generally feel they have let us down but end up getting into arguments defending them when people post utter utter conspiracy theory rubbish.
Again, you miss the point. I'm on about people not even reading match threads and only being on here to talk politics...
It's a football forum though isn't it?

I don't believe there is anyone who doesn't read any football threads and are only here to talk politics, I can understand not reading the match thread though as it only really has value live or if you want to find out the result in a more tense manner. I'm sure there are some people who only post during the week though and not at weekends/evenings.
I think you are taking the fact that some people mostly post in other threads and drawing a false conclusion from that, I've tried to show my situation in order to show how that is possible, though I do post on some football threads.
Do some analysis then and have a look at posters behaviors.

Analysis on what threads everyone has read? I don't have that information, not sure if you do.
I've already given my personal examples of why I post mostly in non football threads but that I still read the others and of course absolutely care what happens on the pitch (though I've also never hidden that my love of football has been significantly harmed over the last couple of years, I do believe it to be temporary though) If you are trying to make a judgement about what threads people read from their posts that is seriously flawed.
Look at you and I disagreeing now, its encouraging us both to post, seeing something you disagree with really encourages posting, that happens alot less in football threads especially since people arn't trying to wind each other up in them for the most part.
I know that "someone is wrong on the internet, I must correct them" is a character flaw (one that I suffer from alot) but if you remove that flaw from people you arn't going to see alot more football talk, you are just going to see less talk in general.
He is trying to wind us all up so we reply to him. Then he is hoping that some of us that reply to him don't post on the match thread. He will then tell you he has proven his point.
I'm not winding anybody up, next people will be telling me that influential people in all the mess haven't created accounts to stir things up. Because they don't want to believe it.He is trying to wind us all up so we reply to him. Then he is hoping that some of us that reply to him don't post on the match thread. I have to say when I saw the headline this morning and read the story it didn't strike me as a particularly positive piece. In fact it seemed more to be a case of trying to imply there's a good chance of Mowbray being off at the end of the season.
Do some analysis then and have a look at posters behaviors.
Yes, but several people have explained why. It is not compulsory and not everyone gets to Matches for various reasons e.g. where they live and their working hours. It is a "Sky Blues Forum" and people discuss matters which effect the Sky Blues - some analyse the players, the game, the tactics etc. and others discuss the off field matters, which in turn have an effect on the team/ club. So Nick is correct. But he shouldn't be surprised, or maybe he should call the Forum "Sky Blues Match Forum" if he just wants people to talk about the game and nothing else.Nick has a valid point, there are some on here who never comment about the on field matters whatsoever.
