...will, with the exception of Bayliss, go further in his career than anyone out of our current squad.

I'll be back in 10 years when I've been proven right. Ta da.

I doubt that I'll be here in ten years and if I am I will not know who Ryan Haynes is so your prediction's safe with me.

Perhaps he means a trip to New Zealand

I don’t agree with the OP but perhaps a move of club is what he needs. Jordan Clarke had similar abuse being blamed for anything possible and is now playing for a team in the play offs in the league above us

I always thought clarke was ok as a defender - the infamous game against Gillingham when everyone decided he had become the Gareth Bale I’m sure clarke played on the other side and I - to much derision -rated him higher.

And that proves what? Was again a terrible player while at Coventry.

No he wasn’t. He was another scapegoat for anything negative and has gone on to prove he’s a decent player with Scunthorpe whilst we’ve replaced him with worse players and fell down the league

Why do you keep avoiding my question about how many times you’ve met him? Surely even you don’t have an opinion on someone you’ve never met?

Let’s just pray that career doesn’t involve Coventry City. If I arrive at Cheltenham tomorrow and he’s in the team ahead of Stokes...... I’ll cry or something

He is another one of the reasons we find ourselves where we are, along with many others, who were/are thrown in to compete who were not up to the job on the pitch. You’ve just said he has gone onto prove himself a decent player with Scunthorpe which is in L1, (not sure how you would know this unless you go regularly and watch Scunthorpe) so has found his level. Seems ironic by your logic then that he played games for us in the Championship but is a decent L1 player. Think you may have tripped yourself up with that one.

How is Jordan Clarke one of the reasons we are in L2 when he left in 2014? This is on par with your McSheffrey only got his move to Birmingham because of Julian Joachim who had left 2 years earlier which amazingly you still stand by

Also, you’ve never met him then as you’ve avoided the question 3 times. Brilliant, you have a negative opinion on someone who doesn’t even know you exist

as Haynes is now 23 I would suggest he needs to start upping his game a lot earlier than 10 years time.
Having said that, if you're happy to stay off the forum until then who am I to argue.

What the hell has McSheffrey got to do with anything-we are talking about Clarke.
If you read it properly I said he is ANOTHER reason we find ourselves where we are (aswell as many others)as his contributions were not up to the standard required and as a consequence results/performances obviously suffer and down the Leagues we go. Let me make it clearer for you, Clarke played for us in the Championship, remind me again which league we were in when he was deemed surplus to requirements? :emoji_thinking:

Unless by some miracle that he inherits some form of footballing ability, sense of positioning and learns how to tackle in the next ten years, he is going nowhere but down.

Not one performance this season leads me to believe that the op is on nothing but a Friday wind-up. I would be delighted if i never had the displeasure of seeing him in our shirt again.

Sorry, but Jordan Clarke was fucking awful.

I don’t mind Haynes (he tries but is forever lost positionally) but to think he can play higher than L1 or L2 is laughable. He is not a solid left back; not particularly strong in the tackle. He doesn’t have the stamina to make an effective wing back. He has one or two flashes of brilliance (or possibly luck) when he dribbles forward but more often than not loses the ball tamely.
Seriously, if he is going to achieve more than all apart from Baylis in our squad, we might all as well give up now.

He was deemed surplus to requirement then it got reversed as you probably already well know. He then played 40 games that season in the Sixfields season and we would have finished 9th without the points deduction. Since then he has gone to Scunthorpe and been around the top six

Are you that brummie dickhead on CWR -.hyam for grimmer. Haynes doing a great job ha ha ha. Why do they give this cretin airtime.

Don’t agree. Only season he played the majority of games was the Sixfields season when we would have finished 9th without the points deduction

Granted he played most of the games that season and earned somewhat of a reprieve but you must remember we were under a transfer embargo and we often had to score 5 goals to win a game. If we didn’t have the free scoring luxuries of Wilson, Clarke, Moussa and Baker, we’d have finished nowhere near 9th. Look at the tail-off once Clarke left and Wilson became injured.

Glad you posted this. What a helmet! We need to get rid of Grimmer and play Hyam right back? I’ve heard it all now. Don’t forget to mention ‘I like Lee Burge but he’s looking tired’.

I agree but since then he has gone to Scunthorpe and played over 100 times for them..they’ve finished 7th, 3rd and currently 6th in the last 3 seasons. CCFC haven’t finished that high for years

Just because he was part of a team that would’ve finished 9th doesn’t mean he was a good player. The defence was not the reason we would’ve finished 9th.

Okay I agree. He went to Scunthorpe and they’ve finished 7th, 3rd and currently 6th over the last 3 seasons. When’s the last time we finished that high?
