Has someone been reading Tacitus? You need to blame Sallust for the writing style.

What is?

You said people shouldn't get CCFC and SISU mixed up. I am agreeing with you.
But you can't talk to one of them, without talking to the other.
That is unfortunately the issue no one bar Mr Strange and Miss Garlick want anything to do with them.

It's stupid full stop. Comparing a promotional video for Rugby to propaganda of a leader of a country where people are starving to death because it's being run so poorly, threatening world peace with a hunger to acquire nuclear arms and where people disappear and are murdered in genocide for being deemed to not tow a certain line even if they're family members is idiotic. If you can't see that then quite frankly so are you. There very simply is no comparison.

I can see it you moron, but I can also see it wasn't meant like that. Sadly you cant.

What next, we shouldn't have any forums in the UK as we arms deal with Saudi, who are perpetrators of human rights abuses, torture and so forth. Stop being faux outraged you keyboard warrior.

You need to chill out Tony, and stop acting like an outraged daily mail reader.

Are you being deliberately stupid? You don't make the comparison for the same reason you wouldn't with Goebbels. It's bad taste and failure to see that is idiotic. It was a stupid comparison to make.

Don't worry Tony I could never reach your heights of stupidity. Get over yourself. I don't read the daily Mail so can only imagine the hand wringing outrage you feel at a flippant comment.

You've far surpassed any level I've ever reached with this one. I don't and never have read the daily mail. Hardly a flippant comment, he put it in writing.

You strike me as an "ooh ah Daily Star" sort - am I correct?

You must read the daily Mail Tony, you try to take the moral high ground just like they do.

To be fair I thought even that might be above your level.

Again you'd be wrong. There's a pattern forming here. So someone who thinks it's clever to post a link to childish jokes about a genocidal maniac dictator to try and get under the skin of someone who finds it distasteful, crass and stupid to compare a video promoting a game to the behavior of said genocidal maniac dictator also thinks that the star might be above my level. Doesn't say much about your level does it. If brains were dynamite you wouldn't have enough to blow your nose.

I bet you are offended by Dads Army aren't you Tony.

The only pattern is circles - you going round and round getting deeper in it with every nonsense post on this issue you make.

No. I watch the News. Haven't bought a newspaper in decades and even when I did I never once bought the Mail.

I guess its easier for you to try and make out that I'm sort of daily mail reading PC crackpot than actually admit that it's a crass moronic comparison between a video for promoting a game and the antic's of a genocidal maniac.

Moral high ground has nothing to do with it. I can only apologise for having the intellect to see the difference.

I don't remember the genocide scenes in them. Were they cut? Maybe it was a pilot issue.

You moron.

Just when I think that you can't make yourself look any bigger of a twat you keep pushing and prove you can. Keep it up.

Do you think the dad's army game should be banned Tony?

Do you know what I find is most worrying is how lacking in partnerships CCFC has become. If you go on the rugby website referred to there is a whole range of organisations buying in to the concept of a "city of rugby".
A whole range of organisations? Not sure it stands up to a great deal of scrutiny. You have the national bodies who are supposed to support grass roots anyway (similar to how the FA is responsible for football), then you have regional bodies (again the same is already in place with football), schools (long time since I was in school but I'm pretty sure they still play football), local teams and then the council and their chums.

Don't think we're exactly lacking in partners:
http://www.sbitc.org/about-us/partners-and-funders/

Difficult to build partnerships when all other organisations put personal differences ahead of the community.
Exactly. Its not hard to look at the organisations involved in the city of rugby and work out why they're promoting rugby over football or any other sport.

As the senior football team in Coventry shouldn't CCFC be taking the lead?
I think you need to look more into what they club actually do. Just because the local media falls over themselves to cover Wasps and ignores the football club doesn't mean they aren't doing anything. SBITC have massive participation figures and do a huge amount of good work.

It involved portrayal of the home guard as old codgers. It mentioned -- Hitler

Is this you Tony?

http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/154777/Dad-s-Army-board-game-banned-for-being-racist
To be fair ' it's a bit like "dad's army" on here
Lots of bickering, opinions expressed and shouted from the roof tops, hilarious
Wise cracks 'a plenty! Plans put forward, but usually talked about insesantlly
And then brushed aside.
All from different backgrounds and occupations, thrown together to fight the
good fight, all with one common goal.
In "Dads Army" this meant meeting in the church hall for shambolic drills and
pretending broomsticks are rifles, but ultimately achieving nothing.
"On here" it means meeting on an Internet forum for shambolic discussions,
While ultimately achieving nothing.

Oh yes the same intellect you use to compare posters who disagree with you to Nigel Farage, or to call Grendel 'Grendull'.

Pity your intellect doesn't know what the fuck irony is.

Actually as my own son, his friends, and cousins have attended SBITC, I have spoken to staff and decision makers at SBITC and as you might expect regularly checked the financials, regularly praised its efforts on this forum, I have some idea of what fine work SBITC do thanks.

All I am suggesting is that CCFC (not SBITC ) takes a stronger more visible lead and rebuilds a power base in Coventry. Surprised such an idea is not encouraged but there you go. I don't enjoy our club becoming isolated or portrayed as a victim and somehow CCFC has to win or change hearts and minds. Part of that is the community stuff but it is much more than that which is why I referred to CCFC not SBITC. CCFC needs to strengthen its partnerships even find new ones (including eventually strong ones with CSF & CCC), it needs to be seen to lead, to be of more current value than other teams

But while we are considering the community stuff
The City of Rugby thing hasn't really even cranked in to gear yet its a long term plan aimed at attracting a participation/fan base, The target groups are not unlimited in number, the Wasps academy isn't situated in Coventry yet, the Engage programme will use which facilities? the Wasps academy will use which facilities? who controls the better facilities in Coventry? who also uses those facilities? Where are the bases for each community project? what is the target age groups of Engage & SBITC? What funds are available? Is it a single funding project or a group of smaller slices of larger projects? Is there competition for funding/partners? how high is the profile locally? Who makes the sports provision decisions in Coventry? Who is driving the decisions of Engage or SBITC? What would be a way of reducing the long term pulling power/effect of say another sporting community project in favour of your own?

So we just carry on as we are then, its all good, the City of Rugby is destined to fail........... said my bit, that will have to do

Grendull is dull. That's not irony, that's a factual observation. Also said poster is like Nigel Farage. Out at any cost as we're already witnessing today.

The real irony is the dimwit voted Ukip

I voted UKIP in the European election as a one off tactical vote to warn the EU of what was coming if reform didn't happen to the degree required. Reform didn't happen to a degree that was required and we will now pay the price for that. Shame many others didn't vote UKIP in the last European election as the shockwave may have been just enough to force real reform in the EU and avoid Brexit. Of course you're to dimwitted to understand tactical voting so all that was probebly over your head.

Don't the Coventry Sports Network have something to do with running the sports stuff in Coventry?

You would think that Engage would use some of the CSF sports facilities around the city wouldn't they, if CSF are one of the driving forces behind it?

Why don't the Fa make an offer to buy the Higgs centre and then loan it to Coventry City and also say that they are going to lay lots of new pitches to keep Coventry a city of football as its about keeping the kids away from that awful dangerous sport.
