Is it also wrong to call Leicester fans inter-bred
And to refer to liverpool fans as coming from slums?
We can all agree that racism is well out of order, but where does banter start to cross the line?
It appears everyone in queuing up to take offence these days and to point the finger of mock outrage at anyone they can.
When did we all suddenly develop such a thin skin?
Nobody is offended by homophobia? Fuck off mate just fuck offLet's be honest... I bet not a single soul was actually offended that a few people said somebody looked gay in pink... Absolutely nobody
You're offended.... So fucking what (stephen fry)

I'm not sure saying somebody looks gay in pink is an irrational fear of homosexuals or even showing dislike to homosexuals at all.
My gay mate has told me I look gay in certain things I've worn.. Whoopi fucking doooo
So no... You fuck off you professionally offended derp
The point is that Gayboy is used as a derogatory term as an insult to someone.
It’s no different to using a nationality, skin colour etc as a derogatory term. Just because you think someone wasn’t offended doesn’t mean that no one was.
It has no place in modern society, hence why the football authorities now treat it on par with racism.
I'm sure they do.. I've seen loads of people banned for saying whose the gayboy in the pink, loads of media attention and news outlets cover this week in week out... Sigh
Saying somebody looks gay in pink is not nor will it ever be on par with racism
Like I said, nobody actually cares, just the professionally offended.... As per.
...and then some wonder why there are still no openly gay footballers. It actually is on par with racism with regards to the laws of the game and wider society.
We are not talking about homophobia here, we are talking about somebody being told they look gay in pink.
Which isn't homophobic, mind you it's hardly suprising as we live in a generation where people call everybody who they disagree with a fascist
Fuck off you dirty facistWe are not talking about homophobia here, we are talking about somebody being told they look gay in pink, which isn't homophobic
Mind you it's hardly suprising as we live in a generation where people call everybody who they disagree with a fascist
It's just nonsense.
Tbf, I also thought he looked quite happy, light hearted and care free in that pink top.
All jokes aside, theres no place for sexism, racism, homophobia, or any other kind of discrimination in our world, let alone in football. We're all human.
Whether or not it definitely caused someone offence or not is irrelevant, the fact is that theres potential to offend
I don't entirely disagree, I think context is important, and we are slowly edging towards a very authoritarian life..
As hard as this is for some people to accept, we don't all think the same. We won't all think the same and the robotic mind so many seem to want will never happen
Really. Chill out mate no need for the abuseNobody is offended by homophobia? Fuck off mate just fuck off

I’d say we are heading towards a more authoritarian society but not being able to shout gayboy insults at a football match as being a sign of it is ridiculous. Does that then make it okay for others to indulge in chanting using someone’s ethnicity in a derogatory way?
I’m going to have to rethink greeting my 2 straight mates with “alright you pair of bummers” I guess
Or calling people fat bastard or slap head etc etc. Where do we draw the line ?I’d say we are heading towards a more authoritarian society but not being able to shout gayboy insults at a football match as being a sign of it is ridiculous. In fairness, nobody bats an eyelid when we chant "yam yam yam yam" at the brummies, or when Cardiff get called "sheep shaggers", or when Sheffield United were called "Dirty northern bastards".I’d say we are heading towards a more authoritarian society but not being able to shout gayboy insults at a football match as being a sign of it is ridiculous. Perhaps we should all just stop saying anything and watch the game
Sorry if I've come a cross with a bit of a differing opinion, I think sometimes in life, people just need to lighten up... Not everything is as serious as you'd like to believe...
Nobody was hurt by the suggestion you look a bit gay in pink, fuck me.
Anyways ban it for all I care. Add it to the list of things we can't say or do lol
Well you can add calling someone fat to the list. Its now classed as a hate crimeThe authorities draw the line with hate crimes and have prosecuted people for these types of chants inside stadiums.
Welcome to 2019.
Some people probably consider a bit of racism as a bit of light hearted fun, it’s not about being serious or not serious.
And is already has been banned
Well you can add calling someone fat to the list. Its now classed as a hate crime
I’m afraid the fact it is whatever you do there is a percentage of the population who are bell ends so as unpleasant as it might be it’s here to stay
If everyone had that attitude society wouldn’t move forwards!
I’m talking with regards to stuff like racism and bigotry in general, times have definitely improved in that regard.Moving forward is up for debate tbh, life definitely felt better 20 years ago
I’d say, the responses on here suggest that some people do care about and are offended by the ‘gayboy’ chanting.Mate I'm watching the Swansea and Birmingham game and there's all sorts of anti Welsh anti English chanting going on... Nobody actually cares do they.. 3 nil to the sheep shaggers and all that
Yes, in total silence for fear that some thin skinned lightweight might take offence at absolutely anything.Or calling people fat bastard or slap head etc etc. Where do we draw the line ?
Perhaps we should all just stop saying anything and watch the game
