Mate we can't even get people to pay to get up there let alone buy the club. The only way we can move forward is with somebody who is prepared to inject cash with no return
Hmmm. Still dodging the question....
Cotterill seems to think it was all his loan signings that helped:
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/03042012/63/cotterill-hails-loan-signings.html
What about if we'd changed the manager and then opt funded the loan signings Cotterill thought were key. Would that still have worked?
They have reduced costs, making this club more of a viable business than at any point since 2001.
The lack of accounts is not unusual and may just indicate that SISU have entered endgame
How else could SISU manage a club that doesnt have a stadium (not their fault) or have any money (not their fault)
Tommy....Any good business plan should have had the Stadium as number one priority. This was not their number one priority I dont care what you say.
not dodging anything
i said you make a point and i make a point both valid
our loan signings helped espeically norwood so thorn was given some help
start of the month the situation was in our hands we blew it
I could have managed Forest to stay up this season. Have a look at their squad and compare it with ours. They massively under-achieved and that was down to the manager and players not the owners.
One other issue that strikes me from this thread are posts suggesting that our players are largely good enough for the Championship and that many will end up back there next season, therefore we should have performed better this season.
I agree with that and they are largely good enough for this level (although some of them have improved significantly as the season has gone by gaining experience, strenth and harnessing the raw talent), as there is not a massive amount between almost all of the teams in the league. The difference is that little bit of quality that we don't have in front of goal (eg like a Marlon King). If you add that to most squads then it could be the difference between relative success and failure.
I haven't heard "I dont care what you say" since Eton - thanks for the nolstagia/memory.
Out of curiousity, where do you think the funds for the stadium should have come from?
come on mate you seriosuly think if we end up in league 2 wed afford the rent of the ricoh ?
no ground no club or would you be happy ground share with brum ?
People keep saying this, I reckon if we advertised the job we would be shocked at the amount of applications.
how do you know that would be the case ?
Two things though Torchy.
1) He was right, and on an open forum has the right to say so if he so wishes
2) Be honest, when do we ever all stick together!
Rangers FC are a good example: even though they are several potential buyers, the administrators never ruled out the possibility of liquidating the club
were only stuck if we let them stay with us
look at pompey theyve started a campaign to buy the club as fans consortium
idea ?
And how do you know it wouldn't?
Pie in the sky, cloudcuckooland poppycock.
So SISU are only here because we "let" them? I tell you what, why don't you pay the rent on the Ricoh for a bit, that'll help us out.
As for the consortium idea, the fans don't even turn up to watch the team nevermind funding them. Insania.
yes , between 200 of us we gathered publicty and got the ball rolling for the sisu out campaign , tv coverage and media coverage , since then theres been nothing .
if noone trys and think of ideas this club will carry on dropping down the league like we have the past 4 seasons but its alright cause you and others know best and would rather rant on a messagebroad instead of trying to do something
Oh, stop being a big baby. Of course, I don't know best. All I am saying if people don't turn up to support the team they are certainly not going to put their own hard-earned cash into a fans' consortium. Our fans are too few in numbers and too lethargic. You said yourself you left early because we weren't going to score, but we may have done, like we did against Cardiff or late in the game at Hull.
Fans would never have the financial clout to fund the rent, the wages, etc on an ongoing monthly basis. It's dreamland stuff.
as for this financial clout you mention , i see sisu are showing us how its done
All these people sat on here moaning about our demise sicken me. Where were you all when it really mattered? We had an oppurtunity to show the world media that the fans of Coventry city have had enough and that were proud and not happy to sit back and watch our club be destroyed by SISU. I was also outside the stadium vs Soton and people walking past us we saying how pathetic it all was. Well i hope those people are happy now because they have got what they deserved!! Were well and turely in the shit. Some of our fans really do have to take a look at themselves.

exactly dan , makes me sick how you get so many moaners yet they do nothing to help the cause
The only help ever needed was people getting off their armchairs and going every week. Our stay at home fans have at last got what they deserved.
Funny isn't it torch? Hilarious that you call yourself a fan but your on here mocking our demise. Sad bastard.
Fuck you la lucha, torch is the biggest dick on here. You think his comments help do you? Mind you, your both a pair of sisu rent boys so no suprise really.
